"Meanwhile, United are also looking at creating a 4,000-strong youth/atmosphere zone in a bid to raise noise levels at Old Trafford. Subject to demand, the section could be in place for the 2021-22 season. Next season, 1,200 supporters will be moved from the current singing section to the Stretford End, which would host the area." We haven't even got a singing section yet. Of course years ago the whole Stretford End was a singing area. And an atmosphere zone. Football, but not as we knew it.
Designated singing area? Hmmm. No thanks. Will there be a designated swearing section or a designated jeering section? There was some proper singing v Narch in the rain and cold last home game. After an hour of stalemate, most of the ground joining in in attempt to lift the team who were getting stuck in with sleeves rolled up. Proper singing, not some imported choreographed SOCCER AM 'heard it on the telly last week and they sing it at other grounds ' type crap. Maybe if we'd won as much silverware as Manchester have in the last 20 years, we'd have more songs and fans. We'd also have far more ****ish hangers-on.
Indeed no thanks. Youth/atmosphere zone? WTF is that? Can oldies go in if they create an atmosphere? Or people who don't create an atmosphere if they are callow youths? Presumably officially sanctioned, flame ******ant flags will be waved when the teams come out and when a goal is scored.
Actually, Ehab likes the idea of a singing section. He is probably thinking of setting one up as he would enjoy telling the fans after they were settled in that he was moving them to the youth/atmosphere zone.
I see we have ditched the ****ish Arsenal style big flag waving ballboys sketch this season. Hurrah. #reclaimthegame
does this still get played? still the best intro music i've ever heard at any stadium ever if not, then it's utter tragic
Ehab is already planning this, soon there will only be 4k home fans and his plan is to accommodate all of them in a few of sections of the east stand.
