For all you Brexit deep thinkers out there. Just supposing we go into a back stop agreement over Northern Ireland and after a number of years we agree a solution. During this period Scotland have another referendum re home rule for Scotland which they win. Scotland then apply to stay in the EU. Does this start all the hard border crap all over again. Not forgetting the Welsh nationalists who may want to follow Scotland. We should just tell the EU to go do one. This could carry on for ever and a day
I assume by home rule you mean independence. Depends what deal we end up doing with the EU. If we are not in a customs arrangement of some sort we’d have a hard border. And WJ would be forcibly repatriated. Go for it!

While you're right in what you say, I doubt Scotland and Wales will get independance. They don't have the industry to survive, we'll still see them moving to England looking for work. However, it's been suggested Shaks takes up drinking Scottish beer and Johnny Walker on a more regular basis to help their economy.
