Xmas again already - and so again in trying to answer this question I am reminded how fortunate I am that the only thing I have to twist about is a bit of come and go tinnitus. So , whatever light shines upon me , I hope that some can be deflected in the direction of some of you guys who need it, and you all have the best possible Xmas whatever the circumstances.
If you were close by I don't doubt for a second that you'd be looking out for me mate. [emoji846][emoji106] Sent from my Moto G (5) using Tapatalk
Thanks for the mention mate. My op was 5 weeks ago and the wounds are healing nicely. Back in hosp at the minute though with a severe pulmonary embolism so its 1 step forward 2 back at the minute. Expect to be discharged at weekend
Personally wise I have had an absolute **** year and hoping for better next year.. However, when you find out what other friends have been through, it puts my problems into perspective.
I have to say this is a pretty good forum, interesting to see that people can just be honest and open with each other. I genuinely hope every one of you enjoys the holidays and has a great 2019. My year has been poor, in comparison to previous ones, but still the usual mix of excitement, chaos and fun. I had an argument with the Sheikh, that I wouldn't back down from, and it lead to us going. After that we had a fabulous month's walking holiday in Dorset this summer. Now we're considering an offer to manage a large property, in the south of France, where the owners visit 8 to 10 weeks a year ... will be checking flights for the matches! Best wishes to all of you I know, and those I don't, hope you all have a very happy Christmas.
The wife's health has deteriorated but we had our 3rd baby in September (another girl). Life can be stressful but looking forward to xmas. Not travelling this year so will miss seeing family in North East. All the best to everyone on here.
I just got told (yesterday) that I no longer need to have a monthly injection in my left eye! Best news I've had all year (Been having them for the past 22 months to correct fluid on the retina due to my type 1 diabetes) All good - for Christmas I know my missus has laready spent a good chunk on me (no idea what she's got) but I've just ordered myself this as a little treat: please log in to view this image Looking forward to a good christmas with the family. No gig Christmas eve or day so all good and all family time. Few beverages of the alcoholic nature may flow too. Hope for health and happiness for everyone. For those who've struggled in recent years, I hope you get things turned around and enjoy your lives. People are what make my life great, my wife and 2 kids and my friends. I consider myself very lucky and could literally want for nothing else (other than maybe a couple more guitars!!)
As it happens, I bloody hate Christmas, but I wish everyone the same good wishes that I would wish them at any other time of year. The only bloke I know who hates Christmas more than me is the local vicar, so we usually commiserate with each other over a mulled wine and mince pie as Advent winds its way to the big finale. This year has involved a big punch-up with the powers that be over my lad's healthcare funding. It's grim AND expensive, but there's posters on here who deserve more sympathy and good wishes than yours truly, not least of whom is Joe. The new-look SAFC team never give up and neither should we!!
It's been a real mixed bag this year and just as I was looking forward to Christmas my dog's body has let her down and it's looking like she'll be gone either today or tomorrow. Love her to bits and it's hit me hard, she was fine a week ago. Anyway never mind that, merry Christmas and genuine best wishes to everyone on here, great bunch of people.
She is mate, it's the one consolation, she's knackered but shows no sign of any pain. In a brand new bed now snoozing away.
I'm so sorry to read this, mate. Animals are as much a part of the family as any human. I agree with, Vince. Try and keep her comfortable and fill her with love, which I know you'll be doing anyway.
Hope your lady is feeling better soon mate and I'm not putting my foot in it. Sent from my Moto G (5) using Tapatalk
