Not really fussed about the result, we are doing nothing this season anyway. Just happy that I have been entertained for the first time in ages, shame Martial and Lingard got injured the game for us just went back to the usual **** after that. For a first attempt the makeshift defence played quite well, one ****up by de Gea and one from Rojo but apart from that quite steady. I want to see Dalot get a lot more game time, the lad is a threat going forward and not too bad in defence at least no worse than any other RB we have. Bailly needs to keep fit, he could be a great CB.
I didn't think we were that bad, really enjoyed the game. We showed fight, a lot of it, and that's been missing. The defence was quite chaotic but they've probably never played together and the back three worked ok. Bailly; welcome back, where have you been? Rojo puts it out there too. Dalot was caught out defensively behind himself a lot, if we are to have attacking sideline hugging wing backs it should probably be Darmian on the right and Shaw on the left. We didn't miss Pogba and we didn't miss Lukaku. No one really noticed when they came on either, other than that they replaced players who put more effort in then they ever do. **** both of them. Matic suddenly discovered some mobility too. Was ok really. ish.
Jeez really? Thought that was one of the most boring Arsenal games I've watched this season. Quality of football from both sides was abysmal. If that's a good game for a United fan to watch then things must be bad under Mourinho. The only one good attack I can really remember from the entire game was Auba's shot that De Gea saved with his legs. Other than it was painful viewing.
I thought you were tough to get through because everytime we attacked you had six players in a line as your defence. At some point you'll need to trade that off for some attacking ambition. I thought both teams were **** last night. Lots of dribbles nowhere. Lots of passes straight off the pitch. Lots of aimless long balls. Lots of passes straight to the opposition. Lots of individual errors from both teams. Snoozefest with four of the poorest quality goals I've seen in a game of football.
Snoozefest? Are you sure you have a TV? In a way, it is good for United to go through this pain. It will help fans appreciate the joy of winning when it eventually returns - and it will! There's no doubt about that.
Too many of these younger fans forget that we've been here before, many times. There was a MUFC before SAF, and even during his early years we played badly for long periods. These things go in cycles, just look at the scousers and city, they've been crap for centuries. City only picked up when Mr Billions turned up and the scousers, well they'll still be crap whatever happens.
Get to ****, between the Busby-Fergie years Utd won 4 cups and 1 relegation, since our last title we've won 10 including the CL, we haven't been anywhere near as crap as Utd were. Oh, and haven't suffered the humiliation of relegation.
True, but you've had to endure the humiliation of decades of our domination. After all that success we need a rest is all.
Yeah, but I can rest easy due to being around when Utd fans endured the humiliation of witnessing our halcyon years. But happily Utd's domination ended when Fergie retired. City will dominate now for the foreseeable future, which will lead to years of misery for you fellers.
This short-lived glimmer of hope will die when Klopp makes the move to a big club in a season or two.
You've got a good imagination, but apart from Fergie/Wenger in the modern era managers don't stay at clubs for 20+ years, take Utd for example, 3 managers and 1 caretaker manager in 5 years, City and Chelsea have also had an excess considering their success. Out of curiosity which "big" clubs would be possibly move to, not many clubs in England or Globally are bigger/richer, the only clubs imo would Dortmund or Bayern but he could possibly get offered the German national job and be tempted. But don't give up the hope, and back the Utd board to give more mega-millions in January, and who knows they might finish as high as 6th.
