The funniest thing about Christianity is that the Jesus parable is nicked from about two or three preceding stories in Greek and Egyptian myths.

The story of Jesus is ridiculously close to that of the Egyptian man-god Osiris. Who was the son of gods and a prophet who was betrayed then murdered. He was then resurrected in order to impregnate his wife after which he disappeared again. He was considered a god of life and death much like Jesus in early times of Christianity.

Religions are dangerous though. They are just massive cults. Nothing more.

Should be left out of politics and schools completely.

Much like the Greek's Heracles, not to be mistaken with Hercules. Son of the almight god, died numerous times only to be resurrected.

Yeah it's though that the Heracles and Osiris stories came about at very similar times. I believe there is Hindu god with a very, very similar tale to these others as well. It's just an indicator that these kinds of stories are universal and that all peoples want to have similar beliefs, they've merely been constructed around the values of different societies.

I think Scientology is possibly one of the worst. Muslims & Christians can have their extremists, but the scientology nuts are the worst.

Proddies - work till you die.
Cafflics - do what you want but you are still going to hell.

    Nuff said.

Religion was set up to give the thick ****s the world over an idea of purpose, to be kind to others etc.

Now science is ripping all the religous theory to bits.

    Will this help man-kind?

Although what would the world be like without religion? Would we be more scientifically advanced than we are now?

Well the religious ****s don't need any proof anyway. Were any of us to definitively prove that God in any way, shape or form wasn't real they'd just invoke what's now known as "Pascal's Wager"

It's the old switcheroo. The Earth is 12,000 years old. No it isn't. Ok then God sat on his arse for 6 billion years waiting to create his ultimate creation (Humans). Oh, and in-between he played with his toy dinosaurs for a while then buried them everywhere just to **** with us.

If religion was set up to give thick human beings a purpose, it hasn't done very well has it?

All we have is hatred and killing the world over.

Religion allows a few to control the many, that is all.

    Just like Egypt.

Anyone that can't understand that truly is a think religious ****.
