There will be people in their tents trying not to look at the sun and posting selfies. In 50 years time, thousands more will claim to have been there.
Our next two matches are Leicester and Burnley, our respective opponents in the 1961 and 1962 FA Cup Finals so the same scores will do me, 0-2 and 3-1.
Liverpool didn't score until the 62nd minute against lowly Burnley. Them struggling to score is becoming quite a theme (even though it's not reflected in the statistics), not that you'll hear anything about that in the media.
Apparently Real have agreed terms with Eden Hazard and hope to sign him in the summer, Chelsea will never replace him.
Just seen the highlights and I don't think Burnley's goal should have stood. There you have it - all the refs must be against Liverpool!
A diving ****head who only turns up every other season? Plenty of their current squad fulfill that role already...
I was at both those finals. Those were the days! Happy memories. Still got the programmes... Man U & Chelsea were nothing special & we'd never heard of Liverpool (FC) as, if memory serves me correctly, they were still in the 2nd division.
I watched Ray Pointer for Burnley, he's the only one I remember from those two finals in the other two teams. Maybe Stringfellow and McIlroy.
Televised matches for the FA Cup announced, we are on the Friday evening, and some reason that I really can't explain Man Utd v Reading is being shown by BT on Sunday, it really is one of the least attractive ties of the round
Never saw the 61 final.Everyone was giving me their ballot cards yet I still never got a ticket. Saw 62. Again I was unlucky with ballot cards. But I was working in the offices at Hackney Wick greyhound Stadium and the dog tracks were given 2 tickets for this final.I got one because everyone knew I was Spurs looney! Funny thing. The seat was a chair in a room with others well above the Royal Box. When Jimmy scored I jumped out of my chair yelling goal and everyone in that was looking at me as though I'd gone mad ( I had!) I lot of disinterested spectators in that room....and probably in the crowd too!!!!!!? I hope things have changed and only REAL football fans get tickets to watch THEIR team!
p.s. Do you remember the days when fans turned up with rattles? I can still see Spurs fans on the pitch directing "Glory,glory,...….." European nights were very special in those days. Not the same now!
