Are you sure that points total is correct. Think we had about 13 points when Marco arrived which added to your quoted 29 would have us safe on 42 . Thought we got relegated on 34 that season . Marco was a breath of fresh air and we were a stepping stone to bigger things but over a full season his points to matches played ratio would have seen us safe . Only De Gea ' s post stopped is winnng at Man U .
And if Bruce or another manager, I won't say phelan, had a 14 million quid centre forward a 22 million quid right winger and an 8 million quid left winger with the ex captain of inter Milan at the back who knows what they could have done eh.
If , yes . However it was Marco Silva who brought them in , okay on loan , but SB or MP may not have wanted them . It's all history now .
The edit in my post replaced exact same video from the film but I replaced it 'cos I thought there were too many young-uns on here. This here old fart forgets there was only about 2 years (if that) between the two releases. One day we'll have an off-topic thread on crap memory and excuses for them. Mine's alcohol Revisional edit: May be nicotine - I quit smoking 2 months ago for the first time since starting 61 years ago. I've never felt worse despite what the other thread says on the subject.
You do realise this is a public forum, as such it represents a wide demographic. I quite like the off topic veriations, if you're not a fan then stop being a bitch. Free love and peace
Further to what I have posted, I have it on complete authority that there is zero chance of anything happening this year. Nothing doing at all Any news is just media manipulation. It’s dead. No deal.
Or... Sits next to blonde wife Notices long black hair from head of female unknown to blonde wife on clothes Quickly pretends to have found hair in pizza Dirty bastards indeed...don’t eat your rosaries, you’ll need them!
Don't let's forget Phelo won Manager of the Month in his first month in 2016/7 when we beat Leicester and away at Swansea. Despite all the ****ishness around the club in August 2016, that win against the then Champions was a phenomenon, and one of our greatest ever wins in 114 years. FACT.
Yes great start to that season , and could have been better as Meyler had a great chance to win the game against Man U moments before Elmo failed to deposit Rooney into the north stand thus allowing him to cross and them to score .
There are statistical aberrations (an unfancied team goes on an unexpected run, a rubbish team shocks a heavily fancied team in a one-off, run of injuries to key high performing players on quality teams etc etc). I'd even add the odd official's error or key players making brain- numbing mistakes, or getting unexpected injuries. The bottom line is two-fold: 1) How much money does a club have available to get the best players & on-field management. 2) How consistently do the 2 factors in 1) come together over a season. It's all money, and what it can attract. Always has been. Always will be. In the modern age of football, supporters are essentially irrelevant to the success of a club. Bloody sad,
We seem to be doing too much history on this board. We need to move forward. I openly admit, I don't know how, but there it is. How do we move forward. Anyone?
New progressive owners would help. We are stuck in a "what might-have-been" mode. Lots of anger & disillusionment. Positive belief that change will come without revolution. It'll happen. Eventually !
So would you: A. Have stuck with Adam and been mid table/ avoiding relegation for the last 15? years or B. Enjoyed the promised land that we all dreamed about for years and then spend the next 15? years paying for it. I choose B, it was a good ride while it lasted.
Why would anyone buy us the day before the Brexit vote unless they thought the outcome had already been reflected on the foreign currency markets? If May's deal is rejected the dollar price of Hull City falls considerably as the value of the pound falls. Of course if it is accepted the price rises unless they've edged their bets a little and already have some of the purchase price in pounds. That's assuming our potential owners are not British.
An image of Ben polishing his Viscount is not one I want at twenty past eight in the morning, thank you very much.
