So: a) keia was alright. he could build on it. b) team was woeful again. c) burnley are **** and huffed and puffed and then the entire crowd gave up when we scored. they just completely went silent. d) its 3 points. We are probably safe now from relegation Crawl on to bournemouth.... i don't quite know who we are getting through these games. but its better than wathcing us go 1 point in 12 in a january etc like prior years.... we are absolutely pants but just scraping by. we could have dropped 5 points in last 2 games... bar a fluke and terrible defending. Long may our luck continue but i hope we play better soon.
Really wasn’t that bad, started playing 1/2 touch and we played some decent enough stuff (considering the 11 Klopp went for). 1-0 down on the hour and then bang 3 in without a moments panic - look at the positives for a change. FINALLY we play before City on Saturday, hopefully get the job done with some well rested rotation and City have to go to the Bridge. Well done lads I say
Good result. Impressed with Keita, string a few games together and we have a player on our hands. What was Dyche's problem with Klopp at the whistle? I didn't see anything he could complain about either decision wise or Klopp's behaviour.
Dyche showed the pressure. He's going nuts about alisson keeping ball in and us breaking.... like they were going to score off corner... pah. For me the ref today was a total shocker. He let everything go. there was a sum total of one yellow card in game... one... and they were throwing in loads of dodgy fouls all over the park. then dyche has the temerity to go confront the ref cos his **** team didn't get a dodgy corner? Clearly he's under severe pressure.
klopps comments are interesting. I felt watching shaqiri was a headless chicken frankly. On Naby Keita’s performance… Always when Naby had the ball, at least something changed a little bit. We wanted to have positions to involve the players. To be honest, I don’t blame anybody or criticise – I would if there would be something to criticise. But we all know Shaq can play much better – turn in situations, get the ball and be a bit more decisive. The only ones who really tried to do something was Millie with runs in behind and Naby with the ball. Hendo shouldn’t be involved in that – he had to protect all the runners. So Naby made all the difference in a lot of moments. I think his blocked shot was the biggest chance we had in the first half, I’m not 100 per cent sure but at least it looked like a proper chance; Burnley blocked it. In the second half, the one-two with Mo [Salah] was a good finish and a bit lucky in that moment for Burnley. In the beginning it was really good and at the end. In the middle, we didn’t use him – I was shouting, ‘We have to use Naby!’ because he was not involved, we played long ball and big switches. Naby was constantly played over. When he was involved, he was really good. Its interesting klopp was screaming pass the ball to naby while the team pumped long balls out wide. IMO this is our issue. Are we working o nthis **** in training and then just revert to type. We HAVE to play though middle and pass quickly. Keita was decent as i said.... he was a passenger at times and it seems klopp is saying the team didn't use him when he was available. shaqirir for me was just all over the shop and not in a good way. At lest he scored at end I support but...
Watching on mod Their goal defo off side - no ifs or buts moment he flicks his foot he is off to the daft letter of the current law
yeah but that doesn't matter cos we didn't score it. nobody is mad when we concede one, only when we score one.
