Wouldn't appear so, and I am really really surprised by that, and slightly concerned, but if he thinks he doesn't need people that he has worked with in the past, who am I to judge
I appreciate your point and am mostly in agreement with you, but we were starting to see the improvement (defence errors excepted) and hope that the new guy is able to build on this recent improvement. If so then the corrective action was worth taking. I still think the club have handled this badly and either should have gone for a change much earlier when little if any improvement was coming, or wait until the Cardiff game. Whatever it’s all academic, I wish the new guy well and will support him just like all the managers beforehand.
Supposedley met the players & coaching staff at their hotel today ... said to be a huge buzz about the place (akin to when Koeman was here)
Everything about this is wonderful. Hassenhüttl would have been a smart choice for Manchester United*, let alone us. We already have the nucleus of a squad that can succeed. Bring a German-style structure and strategy in on top and we'll get our momentum back easily. *which is why they would never have done it.
I think that Saints fans have to temper their expectation a little at least for the rest of this season. Avoiding relegation is still the target and I don't think that we will see any massive radical improvement in our play overnight. Next season is what i'm really looking forward to when he has most of the players that he wants.
And a full pre-season to get them Pochettino fit. Double training sessions etc. Work out which players will buy into the hard work pays off.
I do find it slightly weird that we stick with the same coaches all the time. Even if they’re not directly at fault for our slide, you can’t say we’re an excellently coached side...and a change in personnel can help to make it feel more like a fresh start. Maybe the Rabbithutch and his one merry man are all we need.
So what Vin? Can’t people be happy in the hope things can change the way we have been performing? Perhaps you were tempering expectations?
Can Boufal etc be recalled from their loans now we have a new man in charge if he so wishes to bring them back?
I think you're misreading this Its a response to people saying we shouldn't have kept Hughes and/or why didn't we get Hasenhutl in the summer I think we are all happy in the hope our new arrival may improve things Interesting to see what he can do before January and the chance of new signings
