When you’ve treated yourself to a deep fat fryer. Make a light batter and deep fry slices of that dunked in batter.

    I like fried spam.

Had no bacon a few months ago, found a tin of spam and fried it and popped it in a buttie. Massive dollop of ketchup.

    Like what?

Fry it in lard for the added touch of heart disease.

yeah,I felt the same way until I had some, had a friend who worked in Abigail's artisan bakery, she bought that home and it was ****ing delicious, really creamy texture.

Black Forest Gateau is my all-time no.1 cake, and cherry pie & custard my no.1 dessert, sometimes I have it for dinner.

Asians don't do cakes - all too light and fluffy with too much cream and **** on the top.

Really miss my Mum's fruitcake - so packed full of fruit and solid enough to use slices as door jams. She used to make them and then store them for months as they apparently improve with age.

If we are widening the thread to include pastries am very partial to an Eccles cake but just get the shop bought ones.
