Ah sorry. Thought you thought he’d scored. Yeah he did very well. As I say, he’s looked far better than Sinclair. Far more dangerous and direct. Pace is still there. Be interesting to see how long he gets
Bish bash bosh another win, does anyone know how many games we've gone unbeaten in across all competitions? The last one I remember was Sheff Wed ages ago. Never mind it's 17 according to the Sunderland site. Great to see Duncan back and not just surviving unscathed but already making positive contributions.
We were playing a team from a lower league, but they played their strongest eleven. Our team had a few players probably playing together for the first time in a competitive match, two or three returning from injury, others considered fringe players at best yet we won comfortably in the end. A great run out for all concerned, but the biggest plus was having Duncan Watmore back, not just going through the motions either but characteristically leading the way.
I felt really sorry, for Watmore, in the last few seasons. He never gave up even when it was obvious others had, he ran for endless passes that never came and kept his head up. I think he'll suit a Jack Ross side perfectly.
After the clip, Kimpioka got ahold of the ball and seemed to be pleading with Sinclair for an opportunity to take the PK. He didn't put his head down, even for a second, after losing out, as he was again fouled by an overwhelmed defender on the next attack, earning Sunderland a free kick.
Kimpioka looks like he could be a nightmare for defenders.. Could be a good impact sub in the up and coming games..
