So you don't go to games, don't buy merch etc but you think its pointless for the masses to try and make a point by turning up enmass together a few mins late for kick off??? I don't think its trying to force Ashley out of the club either. Its showing that if he forces Rafa out that is the straw that breaks the camels back for many people. #IfRafaGoesWeGo movement started this and for many people it really is if the Gaffa leaves they do to.
I really think it's time people just accepted where we are in the world of football. We'd need an oil rich Arab to get us in to the top 8 and that's not going to happen because we're a **** area of the world nobody has any interest in, players dont want to come to the area and out facilities and are ****e too along with the miserable weather. We're a club with potential because of our fan base but potential is just potential . We're a mid table club , we finished mid table we might well finish around 10th 12th again so we can't complain yet imo. Embrace the mediocrity
when fans , say support the team. what does this mean. FCB owns this team . what they should say is , i have paid this much for a season ticket ,so i am getting my money worth . its an excuse for a day on the piss and fill in me saturday s mostly. ha ha
Well I'm a real fan season ticket 31 years and ten before that standing in various parts of the ground... I went in late and I'm boycotting wolves and I'm not thick. But I do feel like I have to do something I can't explain but I just need to do it and then say I tried .. Also the fans who did nothing who's opinion I respect can say nowt . .... .Your right he's not leaving and we all need to move on.. .but please don't call us thick.. .
Agree. I didn’t go in late but every fan is entitled to have their say and do what they think is right. If you pay your money then you’re entitled to have your say. Also, for the avoidance of doubt, I’m not saying you have to pay before you have a say but that if you do pay then you’re definitely entitled to have a say. I don’t agree with this type of demonstration as one off demonstrations, in my view, will have no effect at all on Ashley. To affect Ashley it has to have a more permanent effect upon what he views as his prime business SD. Arranging for the area to boycott SD would likely have more impact on him but the problem is getting all the fans to agree one or more methods of demonstrating as opposed to some doing one thing and others doing something else. That being said I will not, or at least I’ll try not to, criticise anyone who tries to make a point...so long as it’s not ridiculously stupid and the spelling is correct.
Sorry mate but people are thick if they can't understand after 10 years that it is all a futile exercise. That's my opinion and I'll stick to it. Fans can do as they please and I'll respect their right to that - I never shouted any abuse at the ones who did that on Saturday, I respected their decision to do it. It is also my opinion its wholly unhelpful when you are in a relegation battle, and as I say for what exactly? To tell the fat man what he already knows? I'm never gonna like something which achieves **** all positive for the club. We are there to support our club. If you knowingly do something which isn't going to achieve what its remit is, but will potentially harm the club you support, I think that is thick. I don't think there is anything wrong or disrespectful with me calling that out.
This old chestnut is rolled out again... I'm sure it is the case for some. Most though actually just support Newcastle United and actually have enough of a brain to work out that an 11min walk in is futile and stupid.
Decent professional footballers should win a game if its played in front of a half full ground... The truth is there just not that good full house empty house half full house...
It’s not the case. I’ve seen first hand theceffect a full blooded support has on Newcastle United. We see it up and down the land. Otherwise there would be no such thing as home advantage. They need help more than ever at the minute because we have lower half quality.
To me there is absolutely no doubt the effect a full house of supporters behind a team make. It really lifts the players. Can’t understand why anyone would spend good money to go and protest. Can’t think of any more unconstructive way to spend my Saturdays. For me going to a live game is something I look forward to. The whole atmosphere, the build up, buying Albert’s beer beforehsnd, the feeling as you get into the ground, the comments from people around you. I wouldn’t feel I was “doing my bit” by protesting - I would feel I was just ruining a good day out.
After 41 years I'm the opposite I go out of habit. .its utter ****e . The passion has been sucked out the club by the fat ****. There is nothing to look forward to as the up coming January transfer window will prove .. .I go to meet mates have a few pints and catch up. I sit next to people I've seen grow up marry have kids and dare I say die . The game at the moment is a hindrance . I go because I'm loyal and just hope one day he's gone and I don't miss out.. .****in sad really
You need to move abroad. When you can only get to one game a season or so it brings the magic back. Also Albert’s beer bill becomes more affordable.
So did I hear you say you had a vacancy on your staff for a witty, handsome debonair youngish well spoken gentleman who doesn’t mind Manc supporters, well not really, who has fallen on hard times because of picking up someone else’s beer bill?
Not sure if this has been mentioned. Franklin Templeton .. Fight due in Newcastle Airport tomorrow morning Landing 7.32.....mates been on aboot this Probably bollix Flight n328mm
