Was going to do a dead celebrity wid ye then thought about cake instead.

I’ve never made a proper cake. Made a baked cheesecake a couple of times but. It sure that actually counts as a proper cake.

I bought the Mrs one of those behemoth retro stand mixers for Christmas a couple of years back and it is always in action.

She bakes like ****, all the time.

She made three Christmas cakes this year. My only contribution was sneaking in the kitchen and putting a massive slug of Navy dark rum in the mix.

Pavlovas, drizzle, Madeira, carrot, the lot get made.

I'll never buy a better Christmas present.

I don't even try really, she's having a sweatshirt this year and she bought that herself.

 

My mrs wants a poncho.

May just make one out of a bin liner and wrap it up. Her face will be priceless on Christmas morning.
