Shed loads like of cash!!?? Compared to the money we had in the 70's and 80's yes. Paupers compared to the likes of palace and Bournemouth, never mind the Man Uniteds and chelseas.
I started watching city 20 plus years ago Duffen got us into the premiership which I truly thought I would never see so thank you Steve Bruce like Peter Taylor for me is legendary, so are the Allams but unfortunately now for the wrong reasons. Never thought I’d stop going to city but I have ‘if’ we get new owners I’ll be back like a flash
Here's some figures, which includes the admin staff: Wages including tax Year ending 2016 £30 million Year Ending 2017 £61 million Year ending 2018, the year after we were relegated, £31 million (despite the relegation clauses) Our thread bare squad cost us the best part of £31 million in wages and tax last season.
To be honest, whichever dingbat thought Will Keane and James Weir were appropriate Premier League signings needs to feel the thump of a harpoon in their ****ing thorax. Along with the bellend that shelled out a seven figure sum for each of them.
'At the 2017 year end they had no bank overdraft and owed nothing to their owners. In the meantime we've used most of the parachute payments paying the wages of players bought under Bruce who we couldn't sell'. Do you want to take another look at the fourteen first team players we had on the wage bill at the end of that season and review how utterly ridiculous that statement is?
As a reminder, these are the players Bruce lumbered us with at the end of that season, who we apparently couldn't sell... Eldin Jakupovic Dusan Kuciak Ahmed Elmohamady Jake Livermore Curtis Davies Harry Maguire Andrew Robertson Tom Huddlestone Sam Clucas David Meyler Shaun Maloney Robert Snodgrass Abel Hernández
Looks about 80 million quidscworth of talent there at least !! Mind you some on here know better !! Maybe 100 million
Just a thought here while i have been reading arguments about the funds spent while SB was with us ... How many clubs playing in the Premier League actually make profits ? Despite the ridiculous amounts of money paid to them by Sky sports its all relative .. its pointless quoting we spent this in 2015 then trying to argue that against what was paid out in 2016 or 2017 .. wages in the football industry continue to rise astronomically which usually is in line with the inflated rates Sky Sport feed in. There is a saying in football .. dont buy a club if you're seeking to make a profit .. ask Ashley at Newcastle !
Yep. No plan B and he needs to stop messing about with players not in their correct positions. And he played 1 up front at home once too. Probably.
We got **** all for kuciak, therefore proving Brucey transfers were ****e. Thank **** for Ehab, Charon and obi.
That’s why my list of the fourteen first team players we had only had 13 names on it... You forgot to acknowledge that your comment was ridiculous?
