We have a squad of international players whom have all excelled in their positions in the not so distant past. Let's hope RH is the man to get the best out of them... I'm feeling optimistic!
Amen to so much of this. If this squad continues to underperform then Hasenhüttl is the right sort of manager and this time we should back the manager and enable him to completely rip our squad up and start again and build it his own way. This is exactly the sort of appointment we should make and he’s clearly a good cosch so now to make it clear he will be backed and if there are any players who think they can continue to be complacent or undermining then it will not be tolerated any longer.
This so much, he must have been given assurances too thst there is resources to spend to bring in players who he would deem good enough also.
I'm sure there is some money if things are shifted about, but not a lot. May be better to wait till next season if he feels he can work with what we have....we do have decent players, folks. Not exactly a bunch of no hopers. I'd be surprised if we get any more than one player in January and we need to get the right player, not one just for the sake of it. Staying up is the most important thing, but assuming we do...he will be better placed in the summer to assess our needs.
My only expectations are he impose his style on the team over the winter, finish the season strongly. A couple of shrewd signings in the summer. Then continue form into next year and win the league. No pressure.
Reports this morning suggest he has signed a three-year deal at Saints and newspapers in his home country believe he will be unveiled later today. However, the Daily Echo understands the two parties are still locked in advanced discussions and there is unlikely to be an announcement today
I want them to give him everything he requires. If he insists on Prima Nocta, the club should honour it. I offer myself as bait. If that doesn't get the signature over the line I don't know what will.
