I couldn't give a **** what Capello says anymore. Anyway, I suspect it's more crap from the Daily Mail. If ti isn't, the club will sort it out and make sure it doesn't affect his career at Liverpool.

I think Capello said that ages ago, after Carroll got injured by falling off a chair when he was pissed. Fair enough that does affect his career but none of that applies now.
Just seen the Carroll section of Capello's news conference. He said he never said anything about Carroll's drinking.
Yeah i agree that has nothing to do with him being left out at the min although the drinking could potentially have a negative effect on his career if he doesn't cut it out or keep it to an acceptable minimum. I never heard about him getting injured falling off a chair when pissed it would be really funny if we hadn't payed so much for him, but for people to say he's like Gazza or Merson and the like is a bit too strong for now i just hope he doesn't end up going that way.
Whether or not Carroll is still boozing doesn't really concern me. If he like to have a few pints but can still put in a good shift then fair enough. But the truth is his performances have been extremely poor and doesn't look fit at all. As I've said in threads before, how long does this guy need to get himself fit? Everyone else looks fit and sharp - has he not had time to rest? He completely disrupts our style of play and it's best that he doesn't start matches.
If you check the picture of AC on wikipedia..he does look fat you know. Actually, bloated is the word I'm looking for.
