Fecking impressive. I went from January 2nd to first week of May this year without being able to drink due to my gout.... Don't think i could do it out of choice. It was bloody hard.
I don’t want to seem like I’m getting carried away here but I think we could win the league this season....
I just think with the iffy fitness of our players and then type of players we have right now...this might take a bit of time.
All sounds very positive, I just hope we can get back to regularly leaving St Mary’s feeling that the players got close to their maximum(and I don’t just mean effort) Playing brave football against top six sides(not a half arsed Man Utd) I don’t expect us to be the best, but let’s smile all the same and get back to enjoying football, from fans to players.
Seems laughable now that some posters on here used to give Ronald a hard time for “not having a plan B”. I would settle for a plan A right now.
Yeah, that's where a strong DoF with the ear of the owner is going to be important. We're going to need to turn over a fair portion of our squad to maximize that style of play, and it'll take time and it'll take money. Hopefully that buy-in is in place, because that style is really a great equalizer with the right players and sufficient commitment.
Another great analysis of RBL under Ralph. Now, if we can get Timo Werner in like I've wanted for 3 years we could be set. https://www.bundesliga.com/en/news/...hasenhuttl-part-ways-ralf-rangnick-506624.jsp In seriousness, we don't have the talent they had up front, never mind the pace. Redmond could fit, PEH could potentially thrive in the mid together with Lemina. Not sure where elyonoussi fits in here, Josh sims would be a better fit from what I've seen. Ings range of movement and passing would be well used - not unlike Werner though not so quick and I think Gabbiadini may finally have a manager who will appreciate the quick forward runs. I don't live under any illusion that we will be RBL this season, they were everything we are not, free scoring, fast, exciting, technical, tactically excellent. Finally though, an appointment to the playing and managing staff that we can be excited about.
Well I’m just sat on the 0635 Basingstoke to Waterloo. Opposite Chris Coleman. And he looks like he is in a terrible mood. He ****ing fuming. Think he has just been told he has got the nod over Ralph and is signing a 14 year deal. Just saying
Sounds positive but we’d have to be prepared for him leaving after two seasons like Poch if it goes well. Though that’s much better than the reigns of our last three managers.
Pierre, Nathan and Lemina should do fine. Valery, I suspect, may find himself with playing time; he was quite aggressive in the challenge, and has the pace to compete on both ends. After them, well...I dunno. Armstrong will probably get regular time. Long can press, but a counter-attacking press also requires you to advance the ball quickly and with a minimum of touches, and Long's idea of a minimum of touches is shinning the ball out for a throw. Gabbiadini could suddenly find a system that caters to his runs, though, if he can last at the pace. One player that might suddenly find himself a contributor next season? Harry Reed. Competitive, able to contribute in multiple phases, doesn't seem to lack stamina. Probably won't supplant Pierre/Mario, but could find himself as a frequent sub/sometimes starter.
You know what, I think once Chris calms down he will be fine. I can see him lasting longer than three years and don’t believe he is one for upping sticks when West Han flutter their smutty eyelids at him.
