This will go well. If May's deal gets voted down, then there's no way Parliament will allow a no deal. So it will have to go to a referendum. People will then be able to vote on what the actual consequences/benefits of Brexit will be, now that they are better informed.
I think I'll join in the fun at the start Problem is that either staying or leaving could benefit the country if we had the right people in charge - but we have a bunch of useless bellends instead. Not that the opposition is any better - Corbyn is obviously pro-Brexit but too much of a pussy to come out and say it and the Lib Dems are still stuck up Cameron's arse.
The countdown starts today with Attorney General thrown to the wolves over his legal advice on the Brexit deal. I shall be tuning in.
May tried hard to withhold that legal advice. Clearly trying to avoid sharing the bombshells that are in it.
The will of the people can change all it wants, democracy cannot. We've had the vote and we voted to leave so that is what we must do. If you think the riots in France are bad, just wait to see what happens over here if our winning vote gets overturned.
A few old farts will write some angry letters to the daily mail and far Pete will tweet some racist ****e.
Who would turn up in Exeter for Katie Hopkins, though There's nothing to take to the streets for yet.
Clearly I don't know what democracy means. I thought it involved the government putting into effect the will of the people? Of course democracy can change, otherwise we wouldn't have election every 5 years.
How many times has a government been elected and people took to the streets to overturn the decision? Never.
Not here maybe, but many places around the world - especially when the vote is considered unfair and/or fraudulent. For example when one side lies about what will happen if the vote goes their way.
They can’t really over turn it anyway mate now article 50 has been triggered. We are leaving. Some folk seem to think their moaning will change it and they get told it won’t, so then they think group moaning will change it, which it doesn’t, so then they fill in petitions and moan in front of landmarks, which does nothing. They should spend less time moaning and more time swinging on pylons.
More socialists getting hammered in Europe. Spanish socialists lost 14 seats last night and the euro sceptics won 12 seats.
