I am wondering why it’s taken three seasons for us to realise he can take a free kick like that! Three coaches missed it.
Honestly, I am sure that I posted on here that he would never score a goal for us, as he suffered a Coutinho delusion and usually missed by about 2-3 goal widths/heights. Then he takes one, cool as you like from open play and now Saturday. I admit it. I was slightly wrong. He’s a genuine 1.5 goal a season banker.
https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/jose-mourinho-blasted-mark-hughes-13680083 Mark Hughes less than impressed when Mourinho claimed Saints played for a draw.
Mourinho ia like a cornered alley cat right now. All he has left is to scratch out at anyone or anything near by. His days are numbered too and his behaviour shows it.
There was a time when I admired him, but that was many years back. Now I think he is a brat with no manners or humility.
You need a colossal ego to succeed at his level. Others are just better than him at hiding theirs, but if you are not driven by a level of self belief that borders on a personality disorder, you don’t reach the top in any walk of life. Witness our own Mr Cortese. Mourinho’s charm and dry wit used to get him off the hook and make him tolerable, but they only work when he’s winning.
Alex Ferguson didn’t have much humility. Brian Clough was hardly known for it. Muhammad Ali told the whole world he was the greatest (he was).
Until Usain Bolt came along! In all seriousness, Bolt would have been humbled to be in the great man´s presence.
So Dermot says we might have had a penalty had the Referee had seen it properly, may have done if VAR was already in!
It's not complicated, Mourinho should have been done forever when he bullied the doctor out of the club. Anyone else would have.
