nothing personal but you only called yourself lettuce on 606 to hide the green tinge of jealously.....

for the record when was the last "incident" recorded by the tabloid media in the UK concerning youn messer carroll? When was he photographed staggering about the place?

Mr capello is a busted flush for england and is totally reliant on rooney. his team is nothing special and he knows it so after the euros he's off... he isn't interested in building a good future for england rather he's alienated every goalkeeper he's got, tried his best to alaienate carroll here and realistically hasn't done arsenal or utd many favours either.

moreinjuredthanowen i called myself lettuce because it was a name that just popped in my head :).

like i said in the article i dont care much for capello, but if andy carroll doesnt want to waste his career then surely the message is a good one? or would it be better for capello to say hey andy go get bladdered every night have a few shots before kick off?

i dont know him personally so cannot comment but if capello is saying this it must have some truth maybe he saw him at the hotel bar more than other players in the squad i dont know.

Clearly Capello has seen enough of carroll in training over the past week to know that he isn't in good enough condition to play at the highest stage! Rather than blaming capello for saying this people should be respecting him for trying to get carol to book up his ideas if he wants to be a great player and fulfill the potential!

Come on mate i know England are **** and most of us on here really don't care too much about them but supporting Germany all the time when your not German is a bit mad especially against England. Its cool to have another international team your fond of mine is Holland i even watched the world cup semi and final in museum square in Amsterdam but i still wouldn't support them over england if the two were to play each other even though I'd probably know that Holland would win.

I agree with you about Capello though if he feels there's a problem with Carrol over his drinking its best he lets him know as I'm sure he's only trying to help him and do what he thinks is best, but he probably would have been better off saying it to Carrol in person rather than in the press.

Dr Gonzo - LFC yea its bizarre, but i was like 5 years old when i made that decision and have stuck with it ever since, i was nearly disowned during euro 96 and that penalty shoot out, but the germans are unaware of the england rivalry when it comes to football their big rivalry is with the dutch and french.

like your pic bte fear and loathing ha

I remember being very confused at the concept of being allowed to support England as well as Liverpool.

anyway, maybe it's cos its a monday but I should'nt really be so rude..... but you're still wumming on carroll seeing capello merely said he wasn't in good enough form to play.... or perhaps engaging in banete ris a better way of putting it?

Ha ha fair enough mate i don't blame you for liking Germany got a bit of a soft spot for them myself and it takes some bottle to cheer for deutschland in England so respect for that and honestly i can see why you wouldn't want to support england as they're pretty bad. I know the Germans don't count us as their main rivals they think of us more as a joke i was in Germany a few weeks ago and one of the lads we met said they don't consider us such a big rival as they normally beat us and all our fan's just go on about the war by singing the song there were ten German bombers in the air which made our lot feel like right bastards seeing as everyone over there was so nice to us.

The quote on the drinking is from last March.

The article should read "The Daily Mail has published a quote from ages ago that Capello Ordered Carroll To Quit The Booze....Again"

I've always had a grudging admiration for the German national team because they have been such a strong side for as long as I can remember. I thought they played really well at the last World Cup until the semi where they just didn't turn up.
Supporting them against England when surrounded by Englishmen takes some nerve though.

Does anyone have any evidence that Carrol's drinking is holding back his football career? As far as I can see this is just an attempt by the media to make someone's life in to a soap using the pretext of alcoholism.

I agree although Capello may want him to drink less they way it's been reported is just an attempt by the media to sensationalize the subject and this is the right opportunity for them as Carrol was left out of the team against Bulgaria and they want to make the two seem related. As far as we know Carroll has been very well behaved since he signed for us and i think him not playing was down to others being in better form at this moment in time.

Did you post that to show the bottle in his hand or to say that he'd have to be piste to dress like that?
