When you can't remember what you were doing just hours or minutes ago ago but can recall things from years or decades ago is the time to worry. Can be sign of early onset dementia as I found out with my mother, bless her.
So, you know quite a lot about his doings. As does everybody else who read a newspaper or watched TV. Strange to say you didn't.
They turned down a £15m bid from West Brom, £15m from West Ham, then an improved offer of £18-20m (depending on which you read) from West Ham.
They had power losses on more than one occasion . I remember my uncle who was in the Navy telling me about one in the 70s
Funny. I used to go to Scarborough Tech College. Spent a fair bit of time in Scarborough in my teens and early twenties and knew quite a few people there. No one mentioned anything about Savile though many considered him a weirdo, acting like a kid when he was getting on in years and with an unhealthy fixation with his mother, a love which apparently wasn't returned. A lot speculated he was some sort of asexual type As he wasn't seen with women despite his fame. No one expressed doubts about him yet everyone knew about Jaconelli, the 20 odd stone world oyster eating champion who became mayor and who gave free ice creams in his shop to any young lad who fluttered their eyelashes at him. And a lot used to have fun with that. A lot were wise after the event. Though it came out years later that apparently the local police failed to act on complaints about them both, a lot more of them against Jaconelli.
I know. But was trying to think of one which would have led Horton to say that as it was a rather odd remark. Though not a lot stranger than some of the stuff other managers have come out with I suppose.
