No I don't believe in it.
It's measurements taken and recorded in an easy to understand form.

How you interpret it is up to the viewer. I see it as evidence that in the past decade the Bering sea stopped being an Arctic sea and shifted to a Pacific Ocean environment. It's heat content is such that the winter is no longer capable of freezing a significant portion of it.

You can do the same for other seas and start to understand that there is a picture emerging where the Arctic meets the Pacific and the Atlantic which is important to understanding the bigger picture.

Do you think this is an entirely new thing or has it happened before?

Yes it's happened before. Mostly due to the milankovich cycles, this time we don't have that excuse.

    Excuse?
No, the milankovich cycles are variations in the earth's orbit and axial tilt. The things determine which areas receive the most sunlight and when. According to our current orbit there is nothing to suggest it is the cause of current warming. The current weakness of solar cycles and our present orbit suggest the opposite is likely

Wouldn't it be awful if a guest on this forum was desperate to join in and couldn't.

He is comically tedious. Has been for years. Before this Brexit stuff came up he did the same routine on the Liverpool board. He’s less active on there nowadays for some reason.

It would be a lot better if you could leave the legend off like most of the other posters on here do.
