We have a good qualifying group - will be the the traditional whitewash to raise all of our hopes before ****ing it up when it really matters again won't it... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46418521 Group A: England, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Kosovo. Thinking about Montenegro but as we’ve not played them (I think) I guess that would be harder. Think you need a Fan ID for a start.
Pretty sure we have played them before but yeah probably have to do a few home games too. Not many tickets for Montenegro though, was considering Bulgaria.
https://www.thefa.com/england-supporters/travel-club-tickets-matches £75 for the right to apply for tickets. Talk about money for old rope.
Normally it’s the £75 yearly from memory, which guarantees you **** all. I have caps from home games but the FA get such a **** allocation it’s really hard to get tickets. That’s why when I go to tournaments I get them from other sources - WC in Germany 2006 I got tickets from FIFA but none from our FA
I think Germany '24 will be my first tournament. And yeah looking at the size of the grounds there's not going to be many tickets available for the qualifiers. That's assuming it's 5% same as domestic.
For the Euros I will be renting a villa for a week and going with all my mates - did it this year for the WC. Not sure about this Nations League thing in 2019 - does anyone understand the point of it
Depending on where the England games are played will likely get tickets, but it depends on my mates as the tickets ain’t cheap. If too much then we will just watch every game from a villa - we went to Tenerife this year for WC, so probably will do same again. I may also organise a weekend in Dublin if we are drawn there.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Euro_2020#Venues Group A: Rome (Italy) and Baku (Azerbaijan) Group B: Saint Petersburg (Russia) and Copenhagen (Denmark) Group C: Amsterdam (Netherlands) and Bucharest (Romania) Group D: London (England) and Glasgow (Scotland) Group E: Bilbao (Spain) and Dublin (Republic of Ireland) Group F: Munich (Germany) and Budapest (Hungary) Ticket will be stupid prices as per usual - might be worth going somewhere where the drinks are cheap for our inevitable disappointment.
Pity that Brussels couldn't get their ground finished in time - probably the best holiday I've been with my mates. There is a pub that has over 2000 beers that you order from a catalogue and we ordered the stupidest sounding ones on the list. Ended up buying a few of them to take home but our flight back was delayed so we drank them all in the airport. Good times.
Sounds good. i find that if you can’t get tickets to the game the next best thing is to go away with mates and watch a game - the banter and craic is priceless
