Spot on, imo ... Was looking forward to seeing him 'bed in' to the heart of our defence.. It would be nice to think that the club would see sense so that it could still happen..

The first one he wasn’t strong enough - that’s not rustiness.

The second one he allowed the player to turn and pull the ball back. No excuse for that as it’s basic defending; get tight!

Remember Beddy I am a massive fan of Yoshi, but he was involved heavily in their two goals.

I’m not convinced really by the little I saw of Bednarek. Admittedly he only needs to improve on Wes and Scooby, but I felt there were a few flaws in his games I saw. I think her struggle against Premier strikers.

    Hope I’m wrong.

Ok I can see where you are coming from....but the quality of the players he was up against you would expect they would be able to turn any defender no matter how good he was. I wouldn't call that a fault as such......although granted he should have recovered quicker...but that is where rustiness comes perhaps??

Not about recovery for the second goal. He wasn’t tight enough. That maybe is rustiness, but the turning wasn’t Rashford turning the defender, but he was allowed to turn and kick the ball back because Yoshi wasn’t tight enough. I’d have to watch it again but I don’t think it was a recovery issue. Maybe wrong though.

Anyway, I still love Yoshi and think he’s alour best CB currently, so need to keep him in.

Leicester won the league with a pair of nightclub bouncers as their CBs.

We have enough CBs at the club to be able to sort out a working defence, even if we don’t have anyone of the quality of Alderweireld or Van Dik Head. The problem has to be coaching imo.

I don't know, Vestergaard has always been slow as hell. The problem with Hoedt is if him switching off and not reading the ball is his own doing, it is very hard to change that.

Well you can’t do anything about lack of pace, not slowness of thought. Everything else can be taught. With the exception of Yoshi, all these guys are getting used to a new league.

I thought Jack did pretty well btw.

The real problem with our defence (apart from **** zonal marking) is no leader at cb. Not had one since Fonte and Van Dijk left.

In his defense Tim Cahill was amazing with his head.

One dominant leader to marshall them would be a good start for now.
