Who would you say are the last three managers who didn’t buy success ?
    This always intrigues me :)

They all have to spend to compete, obviously - but that is different to thinking it's unfair because you can't just decide who you want and get them without any resistance or competition. Real life, not fantasy football.
Mourinho can't handle the fact that he's no longer top of the heap and can't just take whomever he chooses. Like I said, he needs to start managing a bit - it's not as though he's got a pub team on his hands, ffs.

Not sure he is wanting that
He has said his Defense isn’t good enough tried to replace and got nothing.
Klopp tried to coach but realised after a season he had to buy some quality and was backed.
When Jose is backed he gets results
    Pep has been backed
    Klopp has been backed
    Even sarri has been backed
Utd required a complete overhaul and still do to a certain extent.
I completely understand you really dislike Jose’s style of football but I think we are always a little bit disrespectful toward him (I am not saying it’s not justified from us - I am trying to look at it without bias).
He uses siege mentality as a management tactic and I think he thinks that moaning will fire his players up.
Tbf it has worked with Shaw and lukaku is backing Jose
The only one who ‘appears’ to be unhappy is pogba and I am not sure about that.

Currently they can still get top four
    Still in the FA cup
    Still in league cup
    In knockout stages of CL

So he must be doing something right. Will be interesting to see how this season unfolds
Dec/jan going to give us an idea what happening.

He says it's not fair to judge him because he's now playing in a league where other teams can spend money too

    But he has been backed.
I don't like his style of football, I don't like his self-importance and lack of respect for his players, his refusal to take responsibility for his own shortcomings, and I don't like his childish petulance when he doesn't get his own way. This is not a blind prejudice, it's an opinion based on years of observation.

what he got was 2 new CB's & a FB in Bailly , Lindelof & Dalot . Bailly looked fine until Mourinho started moaning about him and from the , admittedly , little i've seen of Dalot he looks a real prospect but almost anyone plays RB instead of him.

    Yeah no worries
I am not really arguing, you obviously have your view, no beef at all but i do think people read way too much into his reactions. I get what you are saying about his personality and his style not debating that, but his record is generally excellent.
In terms of facts By tomorrow we will be between two and five points off the top and out the LC. Europe we currently require snookers. We are both still in FA Cup.
I am not moaning or upset just sort of saying he is still on for fourth, still in lc, into knockout stage CL and still in FA and this is with all the **** play, ‘lack of players’ and tantrums etc. So he has to be coaching something as he is getting results. Despite wharever happens at st marys tonight.
With regards the backing, i think he has not been backed to the degree he wishes to be, but hey it is not my club
I am more worried about us making sure our season doesnt fall flat this week. Two massive gam3 and atm I looking forward to both :)

They lost to derby in league cup.

They are now very very close to already out of any fight for 4th.

We are almost certainly going to win nothing so I really don't care

    Just to play the game.

    After 14 games Utd are:

    • 16 points behind city. They were 19 behind city after 38 last season.
    • 11 points behind Liverpool with one more game played. Last season they finished 6 points clear of Liverpool
    • Now on 23 goals conceded, that's just 5 less than Utd conceded last season and 17 less than city have conceded so far.
    • Now on 22 goals, last year they scored 68 goals, but they have scored 21 less than city over 14 games.

There's possible way to colour this others than a steaming brown. It's a **** show.

So still on for 66+ then :emoticon-0100-smile

We are in no way competing with City, much the same as last year even though we were the closest team to them.
The way things are going I would be happy to finish in the top 6 but feel even this will be hard with our present performances, oh well, will just have to win the CL to get in it next season. You lot will have it easier in the EL

Yet any big club cannot be satisfied with doing anything else than compete for the title.

If Utd are no longer measured by where they are relative to 1st then they are Liverpool in the 1990s.

Forget about winning titles if you start ignoring the top of the table <ok>

Setting a target or aiming to better someone is different to competing

    Is he sacked yet?

he got lucky v Yong Boys in the CL. The only good result he's had in a while :D

When you cant just buy any other team's players when you feel like it with wads of $$, as in the past.. this is the level of Maureen

Foot ball has evolved and Maureen after all these years still cannot build an good attacking side
Even that EL he won, it was the weakest EL in 7 or 8 years

Wow do you and Z ever sleep :) ?
I am pretty excited for todays game
    Phil Neville been mouthing off
Not sure this game is overhyped, think Everton have a real chance today. I personally hoping for DCL style pen in our favour in the 98th minute just for astro (early Christmas present) for us to win it lmao
