We have been awful. Doncaster passing it around us, and by far the better side. Too many over rawed kids and non entities (Ajose, Marshall, Sarr) in the line up.

 

Our fans and fans of other clubs have a disregard for the the competition.
Just over 3000 for a cup game,glad we played a weakened team more important things to worry about.
No doubt if we win against Donny and get a plum away draw well be asking for 10000 tickets

 

I don’t know where a goal is coming from. Ajose and Hackett-Fairchild totally ineffective.

From what I gather Lee Bowyer made no secret of the fact he was going to pick a weak side, and that promotion is his only priority this season. Picking only five substitutes when other players were obviously available only underlined how little importance he placed on Charlton progressing in the FA Cup.

I can understand if some fans don't like it. But by next weekend no doubt this low-key defeat will be forgotten.

For sure phrases like "unforgivable" and "no way back" won't be used to describe what Lee Bowyer did today.

 

You should have guessed the side easy enough after the Mansfield selection.

Bowyer got it massively wrong today with that team selection. 9 changes was too many, and none of the kids played well. A couple - Maloney & RHF, looked like little boys lost out there. Phillips was at fault for their first goal, and the flotsam & jetsam in the squad - the Sarrs, Marshall’s and Ajoses, all stank the ground out with their obvious lack of interest.

I left on 78 mins. Bowyer has p1ssed me off today. A waste of an afternoon.

Bowyer quoted as saying after the game that he wasn’t too fussed about getting knocked out today as “we are not going to win the Cup”

That’s not the point - 3,000 of our most loyal fans walked out of that ground feeling cheated.

I’m really not impressed with this crop of youngsters coming through - George Lapslie is another one, he’s like a headless chicken.
