At the moment I would say Southampton, Burnley and Palace. And I would say Burnley and Palace are better prepared to bounce straight back

One of us won't turn it around, and will be cut away come Easter. The other two of us won't turn it around as such, but will at least be in with a realistic chance of survival come the back end of the season.

But I don't yet know who that one will be. It could be any of us.

We're already seeing the hidden danger in having so many teams performing so terribly: that illusion of comfort can get pierced pretty quickly, because it's inevitable that someone's going to pick up some points sooner or later. Newcastle with two wins in a row, Cardiff, Huddersfield and Fulham with wins in the past week, and now losses against Man Utd and Spurs in our next two could well leave us with a real climb back to safety.

Wouldn't it be fun if we were in the same league next season.

Only if the season ends in the same way that it did the last time we were in the same league.....

You mean not being able to beat us across two games even when we were in imploding and had no owner for either game?

I'm neither surprised nor fussed at Newcastle's upturn in results. Their fixture list always had the potential for this - a dreadfully difficult start to the season, followed by an exceptionally nice run up to Xmas. In fact, their opponents today West Ham are just about to start a similar nice run of fixtures.

Plus of course Newcastle have arguably the best manager of all the struggling teams.

Cardiff, Huddersfield and Fulham all picking up wins though is more of a blow. Although at least none of them are shock wins. More in the category of 'bare minimum requirement in order to have a fighting chance of survival' home wins. Our problem is that, by and large, those games for us don't come until the second half of the season (and the few we have had, we've only drawn) - and if we're cut adrift by then, I doubt anyone will have much faith in the mental strength of our players to claw that gap back, regardless of opposition.

No more relying on other teams. November has been a good wake up call.
Time to stand up and be counted. Drop the talent if it doesn't work hard. Promote the square peg if it won't duck out a challenge. Lets start doing things different. Lets start today.

Yeah, we could end up two divisions apart again. It'd be nice being in the Premiership and on Match of the Day again.

I expect nothing and am laid back, but I do know there are a lot of games left and a few rubbish teams....we just have to be the best of the crap. What does concern me is the poor GD....that's what has served us well in the past.

I’ll be honest, after watching villa v brum last weekend, and Sheffield United v leeds this weekend, the championship is so much more fun to watch. Both teams going for it in every game
