Casual racism is totally unacceptable.

Think you may have misinterpreted my post as we are in total agreement about the UAE.

Reading your post again, I understand now you're making the comparison between the UAE and not 606 in the support of Glory not being allowed on here.

To that extent I wouldn't claim an informed opinion on the matter except I doubt Bucks, Elland and Ristac stand to gain anything from it unlike the UAE. <ok>

I like this forum. Only problem is it’s a bit quiet at times.

There is a lot of banter and it’s sometimes hard to know where the line should be drawn. IMHO we do have posters (not going to quantify whether that’s 1,2 or more) who are sometimes over the line on racism. I just see that as the price for being on a football forum which is lightly modded. Also I find it interesting to know what some people think and believe. However I think most make non pc comments knowing they can make them here but not in other settings. For example Irish jokes, sizeist jokes, in my case.

It’s down to individuals what is offensive and what isn’t. I have scholarly books in my bookshelf from the 1950/1960’s talking about ‘negros, negrittos’ and other races. Say ‘negro’ today and my daughters would look at me like I’d said something very insulting. What is acceptable changes - over time and in context.

I don’t believe most on here want to give real offence to anyone. If someone is over the line you should raise it with a mod, as has already been said.

Let me edumacate you spilt milk.

This forum was bounding along nicely until someone, namely you, came along and started crying racism........that's where, and when the problems started, started by you by screaming casual racism; in other words, you are the root and starter of the trouble / problems.

However, you're not on your own, you and your kind are the ones causing problems, and stirring up trouble around the world because of your own obsessive insecurities. You people insanely believe all countries should change their ways, traditions and cultures just to please you, not going to happen despite the insecure, attention seeking and racist PC mob.

Recently someone went on telly claiming our traditional heritage of Morris dancing should be banned (another insecure mental case), just because some painted their faces black, a tradition which dates back several hundred years and has nothing to do with mocking black people. The blackman on the video created the problem because he is insecure in his own black skin and couldn't be bothered to to do his research, but instead wanted to show how insecure, and idiotic he really is, and yet, he isn't black.

Are you aware there are tribes in Africa who paint their faces white, because it's part of their culture and heritage.

This is not racism, it's tradition, our tradition.

This idiot lost his argument and claims.

These days both black and white comedians make white and black jokes cos they've had enough of PC, and the idiots who peddle it.

Look at this comedian on BGT, he puts people like you in your place, and to shame.

There is no such thing as racism. Racism is a word invented by a Russian white communist to try and get the upper hand in a cultural argument. To be racist, as you call it, you have to literally hate a whole race of people, calling one blackman black is not racism, and yet, there are white peoples who hate other white peoples, like the Nazis did, and tried to create the Aryan race.

We have a black keeper called Blackman, should he change his name just to suit idiots like you?

Do you watch films, listen to rap and black music, they call each other black and ******, guess what, the national censorship boards in each country allow it.

So Jammy, when you call others racist, first I suggest you do your research, check heritages, cultures and traditions, or maybe us white folk should go over to Africa and call them racist for painting their faces white and claim their traditions and heritages are racist.

    Get a life.

    Really....?

Somebody posted a comment accusing people of casual racism and he responded with a lengthy rant complete with references to morris dancing and saying there's no such thing as racism....

I thought you were meant to just reply with banter and accept it... I though those were the non-pc rules....?

Otherwise it seems a bit snowflakey to me.

I've met Jammy and IMO is a sound bloke, but you make some interesting points. The other think that I heard is that the innocent nursery rhythm baa baa black sheep has been changed to white sheep so as not too upset minorities. I would have thought it would do the opposite. I've mentioned this before, my local club after failing to get the rights to have a picture of Bob Marley on the away shirt are now putting the black panther salute on it instead. I thought any political images were banned from jerseys.
