Always difficult playing a team fighting for their lives especially with a relatively new manager..Dreadful game but a much needed 3 points..
Shocking defending from us for their goals, just as well we weren't playing a better team. A win is a win but lets not gloss over the ever widening cracks and Ipswich are bottom of the league for a reason. As for Johnson elbowing their player, that's juvenile behaviour and he deserves a fine/touchline ban for that.
To be honest, our keeper isn't that much better IMO...I bet you & RR went to bed depressed last night!! Just to think, we're only 6 points away from playoffs and RR predicted we would be bottom 3 by now. That must hurt!!!
Can't speak for RR but you're right about me. Thought when it was 2-1 it might be a further nail in his coffin. But alas the useless inept Ipswich have extended his tenure indefinitely.
Good that we came back twice to eventually win , bad that we went behind twice to a poor Ipswich. Three points none the less, we now need to produce a good performance and more importantly a further three points Sunday.
LJ's big quote and it's true, where has that monkey gone? "We are six points off the play-offs and 14 off bottom. It was a big game to get the monkey off our back and because there is love back in the room."
Actions speak louder than words Lets see what results and performances we can get against Millwall, Birmingham, Norwich and Derby
Ipswich was certainly a massive result for LJ. But honestly, just read the spin, wtf has 14 off bottom got to do with anything. 'Love in the room'
Agreed - it's embarrassing for him to employ such a tack. Just say '8 points above the relegation places'.
just watched the 6 mins of highlights and must admit sears 2 goals were pretty good ...Pisano had no chance but defence was a bit suspect for the first and likewise second we should have not given them so much time ? A freak goal wasn't ever going to catch it and had it gone back into play may have finished in net anyway … although how our strike rate has been probably over the top from 2 yards …...lol other 2 goals were much the same as many goals from other teams/ match's throughout the season … right place ri His 2 goals were quite good ………..
Glad that some, like you, read it that way. Tbf you've never wavered in your support for LJ even when he played. I'm afraid, like many City fans, can't stand the silver spoon he was given as a player and again now as a manager. I'll bet Sol Cambell would have liked a similar silver spoon. A great international player, of his own making, yet couldn't till now get a chance to manage the bottom club in the entire football league. LJ's career, because of the GJ and SL connection, has been in a parallel universe. You can't make it up. LJ needs everyone to pull together, but because it's Lee Johnson it's never going to happen.
