When Ashley sells all our best players and gets us relegated all the while forcing Rafa out the club he will see what the stadium will look like next year.
He knows otherwise though he already got us relegated twice. He'll sort the rafa problem easily if rafa does well he'll get an offer and leave any way or if he's doing badly he'll sack him at a time when the time fickle fans start blaming him
Last relegation there was a buzz about the place because Rafa was staying but this time there will be outrage because Rafa won't stay if we go down or even if we don't and he still walked. There is nothing preventing Benitez staying apart from Ashleys investment in the club, players and facilities. The first time relegated under Ashley we had an average gate of 39-40,000 for the first five games but still had good team and not quite as much bad feeling as there will be this time around. Think attendances will drop to 35,000 if we are relegated this time and 42,000 if we stay up but Rafa goes anyway. I'm not Rafa's biggest fan but to force him out would be one of the biggest mistakes of Ashley's tenure.
Ashley doesn't care the fans money isn't particularly important and these protests don't involve him losing any of it anyway. Buy season tickets go or don't but tickets at all.
If it is apparent that there is a significant reduction in the initial attendance then the press/sky might actually bring it to the world wide attention. However I believe that given our recent results it will be manipulated by the press/sky like "Look at the selfish Geordie Bastards, what do they expect? to win all their games, they have won three on the bounce and now they do this - totally delusional etc" This is actually going to do more harm maybe than good to the outside world, we will be forever portrayed as proper idiots. And I doubt it will have any impact on MA either.

Believe it would work the other way to anyone with the head screwed on, a sensible person would ask why are they protesting if they are getting results? Not protesting the manager, the team, the club - one man is in the firing line and its obvious as to why. Like I say feel free not to protest but I don't think you have the right to complain if you take your seat and eat your cake.

What would be better is if everyone attended and in the 11th minute someone sounds a horn and everyone turns around for a full minute chanting "Ashley out, Ashley out". Still it won't make any difference.
What would be best is if we all turn up on time, make a **** load of noise, support the team, and we win.
