Seen this rumour around yesterday. Lee Ryder has denied it is true on twitter however on skybet his odds have dropped from 14/1 to 7/1 in the last few days.

Hope it isn't true but I could see it happening!!!

Its only dropped because people have been betting on him due to reports in the Sunday Sun and thus causing it to drop.

I know how the odds have dropped mate. It is worrying however, I could see him walking after we didn't get a striker and after his comments he has been made to look like a twat!!!

I do not think there is any chance of this happening, though nothing surprises me in football. The problem I have with the story is I think Pardew will have been made fully aware of the constraints he will have to work under when signing a contract. He will also have been fully aware of their track record while at the club so couldn't possibly say he didn't know it would be like this. Basically I don't think he can complain too much regardless if they've left him high and dry striker wise. You'd have to be extremely naive to think it wasn't a possibility.

I expect he will stay till the end of the season at least.

when he took this job his reputation was more or less in tatters. if he walks now, it will be only slightly improved. if he sticks it till the end of the season, and if we get reasonable results, he will be able to quit in the knowledge that his name will be back in the hat for the next opening that comes up.

i am sure that he is pissed off. i expect he's thought about quitting. my bet is that he'll decide against it for now

Doubt it, considering he knows he'll struggle to get a job anywhere else. Skybet are out to make a profit remember, they WANT people to make the wrong bets, I don't believe it. And it's the SundaySun, who the **** are they? It'll be metro and talkshit next!

We'll only do well if managers don't leave

Another thing, considering that Pardew remained at Charlton when they went down. And remained there when he was destroying the club under more pressure than most managers can even imagine..I think he's been under worse than this. Not to mention, Pardew and Ashley are buddies are they not? I however, wont be surprised if he walks and says that his reason is the pressure from the fans. Because I would never manage Newcastle simply because some of the fans are rather fickle and harsh. I'd even manage the bin dippers over us, simply because there loyalty to managers is better than ours. But eh, that's just me.

This. It would have to take something really serious for Pardew to walk.

Surely this is absolute bollocks! I don't for one minute believe it but if it is true (highly doubtful I know) I wouldn't be surprised. I don't think anything this football club did would surprise me any more. If Pardew was to walk out though I wouldn't blame him and he would leave with my respect just as Keegan did.

If Pardew had any balls then he would quit! The board have given him assurances since he's been here, most notably keeping hold of AC and then doing the opposite and selling him. It's been one thing after another and Pardew has towed the party line every time making himself look like a liar or a naive puppet!

Either way, the board have made him look like a spinless prick by sticking up for their anti-footballing actions. now we're told that the 15 strikers we were chasing were never going to sign as we were offering their clubs way way under their actual valuation and then offering ****e terms to the players when there has been a bid accepted!

Pardew should quit and it's the only way I'll have any respect for him! The running of this club is a sick joke :(
