Is that one of Rick Stein’s recipes?

Serve with 8 pints of Carling.

Shouldn’t you just eat cottage pie if you want minced beef with mash?

You’re a ****ing heathen. If you’re going to have bolognese have it with pasta.

Just ordered fillet steak in a bearnaise sauce and a big fish fillet in a Provencal sauce has arrived, tastes so good I can't really complain.

Microwave golden vegetable rice with a **** ton of sriracha seasoning mixed in and 2 grilled chicken breasts. 10 mins to cook and fills you up for 12 hours

Its like fasting during Ramadhan - first few years I just ate carb rich breakfasts with cereal etc and really struggled. Once I added in more protein it became much easier as you digest it more slowly.
Still a bit strange having a steak at 3am but avoids the hunger pangs later.

Yeah there is some new-ish diet trend called intermittent fasting which loads of people say is a really effective way of losing weight. Basically you consume nothing but water for like 16-18 hours of the day and have all your food in a 6-8 hour window. I have been doing this for years without ever really realising as I basically never eat breakfast so have 1 meal about midday ish and my evening meal about 6 and that's it. Only time I am ever hungry is about an hour after a workout so does seem to work. My diet is very protein based as well.

I think I would kick ass at Ramadan if I ever did it

Seems to get easier as you get older - even worked out in the gym this year although timed it so I could drink water soon after I finished.
