Rumours that Saints are looking to sell players. We know we have too many players on high wages. Could look at this as sensible attempt to thin the squad or you could panic about our financial state. We know Gao had a problem getting money out of China....which was probably his reason for buying Saints in the first place....so if we need players to sort out our problems we will need to get rid of some on high wages. It is possible that we need to get rid of players and still not be able to buy. As said before, some are going to be hard to shift.

 

We desperately need a dominant personality that will lead and marshall the defence like Jose and VVD did. I had hopes that Vestergaard would be that player but it hasn't worked out that way. I think that Pierre could grow into the Captain's role and be a good leader for us.

OK, now we have a new manager with contacts in German football, here’s someone he might want to bring in:

 

If we sold the whole front line and half our midfield we might have the sort of money needed. Should have tried 3 seasons ago.

Zero chance of that happening. His next move will be to Bayern probably for a **** load.

The player we should try and get from RBL is Upemacano, but again I doubt we will be able to afford anyone from there who they want to keep.

 

Thought Villa was going to Japan or whatever to join Iniesta ?

You should all accept that for us there is no January window.

 

Not necessarily a bad thing when you think of the 'potential' in many of our existing squad

 

Most of our players are just missing in confidence......get that right and we will be away. Yes a couple need to be sent out but not all. I think we have enough to survive but will need to rebuild to progress.

 

I agree Fran . Having seen his interview he is saying , IMHO , that we need to sell to buy .

BUT ...I also think Mowgli & BT are spot on .
