Adkins on injuries “We have several players who we will have a conversation about. Eric Lichaj, Reece Burke and Dan Batty (calf) are carrying injuries we are aware of. Those are the ones we are concerned about. Henriksen is in there as well with an ankle injury. “The guys have been in good spirits and all being well, they will all be fit.” Kingsley, Evandro and Toral latest “Hopefully they will be involved shorty but they are a little off. The same is for Jon Toral. He dropped out of training today with a different injury. That’s a blow.” Squad depth “It is what it is. Campbell is back after missing the last match due to suspension.” Milinkovic latest “He’s back amongst the squad and he’s in contention. David has been working hard enough of late to put him back in and around the squad. We are trying to work hard and we have standards. Of late he is working harder.” Asked if he turned up late on Tuesday, Adkins added: “Time keeping is a big part of our discipline. It makes you a more reliable person. He was late but these are things that we deal with amongst our group. “Let’s make this clear. He has joined our football club and it has been a challenge for him.” Fatigue, mental approach and facing QPR “We use sports science a lot and although it was disappointing against Nottingham Forest, we had our best physical output of the season. From our point of view it was good we backed that up on Tuesday. “Mentally we should be alright thanks to the good performance we had the other night. It’s going to be a difficult game at QPR. We have created some good chances of late and I’m not worried about not scoring in the last two matches. “We have created opportunities. The last away game we scored three goals in 45 minutes and we are playing solid in defence.”
Jeez, I'd forgotten about Toral! So, on top of current niggling short term injuries we've been suffering, we are missing Kingsley, Evandro, Toral, Milinkovic and McDonald. And Mazuch hopefully now back to stay. What a difference having all those 6 available fully fit and motivated could make to our situation!
This Milinkovic situation defies comprehension, at least it does mine. If he's so bad a player why are we bothering, if he's so ill-disciplined he could probably have been fired by now. Is there some other reason why he's still here?
