Impossible to answer at least until we know what sort of Brexit there will be, if it happens at all. But just the vote result and the aftermath is negative.

Sorry maybe a misunderstanding, I meant it what way (any way) would it possibly effect you.....ie are you an expat, which I assume would effect you immensely, or are you a Norwegian national, in which I can’t see what effect it would have on you at all.
Again just curious and no obligation to answer. I’m just trying to get all angles.

I'm English mate, grew up not far from Staines. And you?

It will leave half the nation moaning and the nationalist dreaming of our glory days

Nothing wrong with that

Business as usual as we will stay in for a long while what every happens hoping we can all see that now?

Ellers will still rant and abuse in posts about Europeans cherry picking his resources and so will I because there will be the topic of if only we told them all to F Off

The divide will remain people hate me for my opinions... no problem with that it’s a forum we are English and designed never to get on with ourselves

Football and QPR however different gravy

Back to counting my walnuts

Where abouts mate.
Me I’m English, living in Staines (obviously) born and brought up in Northolt.

So I’m guessing that any Brexit will effect you as an expat immensely....makes sense why you want in and totally understandable.

Plus Staines you do a brilliant service to our country lad ... surely you see the demise of England first hand ? Can only think what you see and encounter on a UK weekend ?

I could ramble on for hours about what the country is becoming (not good), the forgotten underclass (there are many) and the self of entitlement that many have (Lack of respect and the ‘me,me,me’ generation).

Sometimes it depresses me but not for long ‘cos for me I’m ‘living the dream’ and doing a job I’ve always wanted to do, and I don’t think there are many who can say that.

Depends if he has an EU passport. I understand the worry of ex pats as I have a mate living in France but the EU has garunteed that they can stay. However if this wasn’t the case it would then open up the debate about the EU letting in over a million from Syria yet they would kick out its residents?

Depending on the type of Brexit deal with the EU, or other deals the UK may make with the EEA, it may have little direct impact on Expats in the EU or EEA. If Brexit includes the UK staying in the Single Market there will obviously be little direct effect on Expats, but the UK and Norway have supposedly already made some agreement on mutual citizens rights after Brexit, as have the UK and the EU which May is now trying to get through Parliament. I haven't seen much in the way of detail yet, it might not happen!

I want the UK to stay in the EU not only because I think we will all be better off financially, as all the evidence suggests, but also because I think European countries should stick together in making Europe more safe, peaceful, environmentally safer, and able to travel freely within, plus, plus... I want to see the UK contributing more, not pulling out like a spoilt kid when the others won't all play your game. Staying in will give both the EU countries and the UK, British input which for example the "Norway option" doesn't give Norway. History confirms staying close with your neighbours is better than not.

Fair enough answer and totally respect your well put opinions.

Reactions: QPR Oslo
Anyone else suspect that a General Election might be on the horizon? Why else would May be going around the country trying to persuade people that they should support her deal, or wanting to go on TV to debate it with Corbyn? It's persuading her own MPs that she should be concerned about, or has she already accepted that she can't win in parliament?

Fair enough Oslo and good luck with your life abroad.

Just a couple of points regarding the UK staying in the EU. With all due respects many people like you have decided to live elsewhere ( which I commend and have done so myself) but what I think irks me and others is when ex pats try to tell people in the UK what they should be doing with their lives. I have found many comments ( not yours)of people living abroad and with no intention of returning moaning at fisherman/farmers and business that what to leave. I find that selfish as they made the decision to live abroad so get on with it don’t tell me or others how We should vote in my own country.

As for the EU being safe... the only reason there has been peace is because of NATO but mostly the US. Remember in the 80’s there was lots of unrest and peace was kept due to the US. Remember Germany wasnt unified again until 1990. Also think of all the European conflicts and fall of communism. They were very testing times. So people saying ‘we’ve had peace’, is not a true comment.

As for for the UK.,contributing more’ we have tried for years don’t you remember the 17 changes we put forward and all were rejected? How about David Cameron going over to try and avoid a Brexit vote and they laughed at him as they have May? I heard it from Vince Cable that we should be in there leading, sadly we are not allowed to lead we just take orders.

Regarding your comment of ‘pulling out like a spoilt kid’ I find that very patronising. We are not spoilt we just want to make our own choices just as you have.

she wouldn’t be leader if there was an election so no. She is going around to get voters to put pressure on their local MPs

poor old Jezza is already panicking about a TV debate and is trying to change things. She would wipe the floor with him. Sadly he is a silly idiot that doesn’t know what he or his party want. <doh> If I were him I would avoid at all costs.

It's a farce. If she wants to persuade the public about her deal, she should call a new referendum and campaign for it.

Well if she calls an election whilst she's leader, she's leader for the election.
Stroller she will be gone after the vote. If she tries to stay on she will bring more damage on the Tories that they won’t accept. They are in enough trouble as it is.
I see vote getting turned down
May to go and her weak cabinet
New leader and team to go to Brussels and sort something else.
Maybe an extension but a new deal will be reached... maybe a Norway+++Canada++ something else they can make up.
No one will want a no deal. BDI has finally raised its voice saying there must not be a no deal. You watch how the EU change in the coming weeks.
