    It takes real talent for BT to find an ex-Inter player for the pundit's sofa

    No, head to head. 2-2 between us and Inter and our away goal puts us ahead. The small matter of beating Barca first though.

    Matching Inter's result is the only criterion
    A 7-0 loss may be enough if Inter lose to PSV

    If PSV win, we go through on our away goal against Inter.

    My point was more that I'm not sure any of those would strengthen us so who would?

    Any of who? Chelsea’s three?

    If so, you honestly think Kante wouldn’t improve Spurs? I love Dier but Kante is leagues above him.
    Jorginho would also be a great addition, very silky CM who dictates play - something we’ve often lacked. There’s a reason Pep really wanted him.

    As for outside of them, De Jong, Rabiot, Ndombele, SMS are just a number of players that’d improve our CM options.

    Hopefully he’d be dead before there was ever talk of managing us.

    I can’t wait for our Jelly and Ice Cream day.

  16. I was actually watching a US stream and thought they had leased the BT feed as it was feckin’ Garry Birtles and one of the old guard commentating (Peter Brackley?)
    Anyway, it started badly as they were discussing Poch’s problems around no signings and no ground etc etc for the first 10 feckin’ minutes, then returned to the same subject time and time again, breaking it up with regular misreadings of the game. Birtles in particular is a compete arse - ‘Clough said this, Clough would do that’
    <doh>

    Yes I had to suffer the same nonsense. Birtles was repeating himself over and over getting the same things wrong again and again.
    Surely there are more reliable observers of the game.
