So how do you square the Government refusing to publish details of advice they have received after a motion was agreed unanimously by the commons that it was necessary for the information to be made available to MPs. This is not the democratic system of respectability that you talk about. You and I place the responsibility of looking after our sovereignty in the hands of the MPs, and if the executive ignores them, then they are ignoring the will of the people. Can I assume that you will be joining with your fellow right wingers in condemnation of this high handed Government?

You will be pleased to know John Bercow has warned ministers they could be held in context of parliament if they fail to publish full Brexit legal advice.

I have accepted that you do condemn the Government over removing sovereignty from you, but surprised that someone who was so concerned about having it back doesn't feel like penning a few words to their MP.
Good on Bercow, he is doing a good job sticking up for Parliament over this failed executive.

 

It sounds as if your correspondence with a UK MP is usually a waste of time. I have addressed the main sovereignty issue by voting for Brexit.

 

She is still my MP and it is quite disgraceful that she doesn't answer. For some reason she doesn't wish to discuss her involvement in protecting Northants CC either. Write to the EU and you get a response, which shows how much more they have an interest in people than the undemocratic Tory party.
