Grants Whisky, finished the last of mt green label yestersay so had to open a bottle of Grants tonight last night if you know what I mean, at least it works better than my painkillers, gonna go back to bed and try and get some sleep now
Johnnie Walker Green Label, try a bottle of Penderyn - Welsh Whisky It's a very smooth Single Malt Whisky.
Penderyn is a Welsh Whisky so not "Scotch" it's much smoother than a normal whisky goes down your neck like nectar. Worth a try.
poit dhub pronounced potch goo is a lovely 21 yr old ..whiskey that is .. got a bottle from skye..definitely recommend it.
If you got it from Skye its a lowland maly. not a lot of people realsie the differnce. There are about 40+ lowland malts and most of them are very good
yeah was up there for work..sir william nobles company he passed away around xmas time i think but his wife was there she was very charming and thoroughly enjoyed the tasting session...i would recommend their mac namara too..its a lot cheaper but very nice all the same.
The lowland malts are a biy peaty for me TBH, not as peaty as and Islay mind, Highland Park is good, as is Glenfarclas.....................**** it they are ALL good, just some might be better than others
I'll pick up some Penderyn on my next family visit to Cardiff in a couple of weeks time, thanks for the heads up
I bought my current bottle from Tescos in Brentford...so it is quite widely available...and they had it on special offer, about £23!
Cheers Ghost, I'm off to our local Tescos later, I'll have a look for some, I need something nice to get rid of the taste left by the Grants lol
WAS i heck, we have 2 Tesco's local one of which is huge, not stocked in either, got myself some green label for now, can always use the grants to clean the drains, I'll try and pick a bottle up at the end of the month when I'm back in Cardiff.
Probably only going to be stocked at big stores...the type that have about 3 or 4 aisles dedicated to alcohol. (Unless they just had it on trial or something? I'll check at my next visit.) Whatever happens, I'm sure you'll be glad you hunted it down when you finally get to hear the sound of the cork stopper leaving the neck of the bottle, as you settle down for your first tipple of this little belter of a single malt!
Can't wait lol' funny thing is in my late teens I got severely drunk on Whisky and was ill for days, after that just the smell of the stuff would have me gagging, it took 30 years to try it again, I'm so glad I did but I never abuse it now.
after that just the smell of the stuff would have me gagging, it took 30 years to try it again 30 YEARS???? I'm going through the same thing at present (about 2 years now) and I've always hoped that before too long I'll be able to face it again as I used to love my odd tot... I hope you are the exception Sussex - No offence mate
Yup 30yrs, actually if someone hadn't bought me a bottle of 12yr old Glenfiddich for my 50th I probably would still be off it lol
