I've got to work this weekend, and can't watch the NLD. I'll have to follow it with updates on my phone. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing to be honest. I'd love to watch it, but at the same time it makes me anxious as ****.
Same here. I equally look forward to and dread it at the same time. I can never relax when that game is on.
****ing awful isn't it ? My missus cannot understand why I watch it, when for a week before the game and then during the match I'm a bag of sweary nerves. It wasn't so bad a few years ago when we were pretty much guaranteed to beat you, but these days that's definitely not the case. You're going into this NLD as the definite favourites. And if we don't get a hold of Kane, Alli, Son and Eriksen then you'll murder us. We're still very much a work in progress and whilst we've seen encouraging signs under Emery, we are still nowhere near the finished article. We are quite vulnerable at the back.
It’s an NLD so anything can, and probably will, happen. You have the advantage if being able to rest most of your first team whereas most of ours played Wednesday. Plus you’re at home too. We probably have a more settled side,but how tired are they gonna be after Wednesday?
Yep form usually goes out of the window for the NLD, but both teams are on form. We've got home advantage, and we were able to rest players in midweek. That said, Son and Eriksen only played 25 mins on Weds. Hard to predict this one, but you are at the pinnacle of your team's progress, whilst we are very much a project in it's infancy. To be honest, I'd take a draw right now.
We have the better starting xi by a long way. I think our bench is a lot better, too. You're going to have to put at least two players on Kane, which will give our other marksmen a lot of space. Plus, you've got to handle the raw power, pace and aggression of Sissoko. Then, to cap it all, we can bring on the likes of Lamela and Moura to terrorize you in the dying embers of the game, if we need to finish you off. I think you'll do very well to get a draw, Pix.
As you say, with your lot flying high, being at the pinnacle of their progression as well as having the best striker and best manager in the world, you should be battering us, as we're just starting out on our rebuilding project. So how many do you think you'll beat us by ?
