I went to that ground with Dartford for an FA Trophy semi fina - we lost 2-1. I hope we do better tonight.

According to Twitter we are taking 500 up there tonight. Good effort if true.

    1-1
    Both penalties
We’ve been poor by all accounts.

Terrible first half by Charlton. We are lucky not to be behind. They have had ten corners. Fosu has been anonymous. Must do better in the second half, we are being overrun in midfield.

Aaaaand we get another late winner. Sorry Lardi, but answering your post on another thread, I really enjoyed that goal. We may have big problems with a useless owner, but a 2-1 away win is still a thing to celebrate.

    Cracking win <applause>

Just the sort of comeback victory you need in the course of a promotion season.

Fitting reward for @Clb74 and @DickPlumb

Feels like Lee Bowyer has got us a bit of momentum again.

How we won I will never know. We were very poor all night. The diamond formation played right into their hands. Their wingers had lots of room and got in cross after cross. A special mention for our defence, Steer, Sarr and Pearce were excellent. But there is a big weakness in our midfield. Lapslie, Fosu were awful. But we won a game we should have lost. That says a lot about the mental strength of the players.

Yes, we would have lost that game under Robinson.

All 4 midfielders have been getting pelters on CL, so it's a tribute to the defense that we took 3 points. Losing Cullen has been, as expected, a big blow, and maybe Dijksteel would be a decent replacement in that position.

I was following this via the updates on CL and ITTV. It didn't sound good but also not as bad as the post match reports are suggesting - obviously it's hard to get a feel of what's actually happening from tweets and such. Anyway, two fairly mediocre performances and six points. Bowyer may well have injected some steel into us, but he also inflicted apparently a diamond formation which gave us no end of trouble, so you could argue we won as much in spite of Bowyer as because of him. Whatever, I'll take the three points away from home.

I would go back to playing 4-4-2. It gives our full backs cover. We have got some difficult games coming up with Portsmouth and Blackpool. I would play a weakened team in the FA cup versus Doncaster.

    Phillips
    Solly, Sarr, Bielek, Stevenson
    Marshall, Morgan, Dijksteel, Ward
    Grant, Ajose

A few of the regular wallys on CL seem to be griping about the smash and grab nature of the win, but so what ? These are the type of games where you need a bit of luck during the course of a long season. Certain people want us to wear a collective hair shirt and lose all season, because it fits into their narrative that the club is totally dysfunctional on the pitch under Duchatelet. A core ingredient for any supporter is hope, and Bowyer and the players are giving us a bit at the moment.

So you agree with Roland on that score?

Nope, it was you who mentioned the comments on CL. I drew my own conclusion that there is a small coterie over there who revel in anything negative, on or off the pitch. This team is not great - we all know that - but at least Bowyer has got them winning again.
