No one else would either, but for some reason wearing a Utd shirt and saving 30 yarders, which are bread and butter to a keeper, makes you world class. Schmeichel and Van Der Saar were world class, De Gea being world class is media hype.

 

I thought it was quite funny and I am unaligned. I think he has been having lessons from Tel. The two seem to be developing a bond.

 

I think he was. Some of the saves he made a year or two ago were outrageous by any standards. Maybe he’ll get back to that level and maybe he won’t but for now he’s not “world class”.

De Gea has been the best keeper in the world for about 3 seasons. This season he's not been as good, a dip in form doesn't mean he's a bad keeper now but it does mean he drops down the rankings for the moment at least.
