There’s a fair amount of gang crime there. I’ve had a gun pulled on me there years ago. Areas you wouldn’t want to go too. But the city centre is fine as are a fair few of suburbs and towns within it.
Probably. News worthy these moped gangs and acid attacks. It’s what the news companies think we should be told. Who cares whether rival gangs in brum shoot at each other. Mate of mine is armed response in brum. He loves it. Always busy.
just read about the gangster lads killed a while ago..with an uzi in salford. so it's certainly not just london
It doesn't do anything does it? It's neither the capital or one of the big relevant northern powerhouses , it's just a big horrible ****ing sprawl of a place. You drive past it going north or south! That's about it.
I’m sure we all have a right wing friend on Facebook that shares news stories from random places about crime committed by Muslim immigrants in various places round Europe. There’s an agenda I think with major news outlets to not report certain stuff and report certain things. Ebbs and flows. Like immigrants trying to come over from France is back in the news. You’d think it had stopped the last year. I’m sure it hasn’t. I went to France in September and there were loads of black lads sleeping rough near the port waiting for a chance to sneak onto a car van or lorry.
I think so but it's definitely worse than most UK cities. But I think that's the same the world over. The big, mass populated cities generally seem to have the highest crime rates. There was a double shooting outside my local in the summer which was pretty scary as where I live is usually ok. That said I was in a pub in York and there was a stabbing. Must be careful not to tell anyone of you buggers on here where I'm going next time....
Love visiting London - great food, loads to see and do. Not sure I could live there - love living up North, when I am home. As a number have pointed out all big cities have their crime problems. London is going through a phase that Manchester went through some years ago but its avoidable.
No, me either. It's Birmingham's strap line but it just isn't a place where if you visit Britain, or even live here, that's anywhere near on your list of must visit places. What's the attraction? There isn't one.
