Liverpool v United is not the big one....it’s a piss boring Derby City v United is piss poor Everton v Pool is piss poor London derbies have more fire about them..that is what we are discussing right? Unless the argument is how many people in Korea are still wearing Ji Sung Park shirts and how many sing ‘you wewa wok awone’...then the London derbies piss on those mentioned above. I don’t even tune in to watch the Merseyside derby..guaranteed letdown. United v Pool is so boring and hyped beyond belief that it’s also a guaranteed letdown and is commonly known as ‘El Pastico’ for a reason. City v United...one has no fans the other has lots of shirt sales...how does that make the game on the pitch interesting.? I’m afraid these things are not what make for a fiery and watchable derby.
Must admit I don’t know. Although when I watched the first leg of the final last week, River had fans at Boca’s ground. Maybe they’re permitted to go to these games seeing as it’s not an Argentinian league game, so different regulations and all that for the Copa Libertadores?
Can not remember the last good merseyside derby tbh. Liverpool v United ain't been all that either. The City v United one has been good in recent years. The ain't been a pompey Southampton derby in years. The rangers Celtic one is too one side to be interesting and the NLD ain't really been exciting in the past 2 or 3 years. All of these and all other derbies are exciting for those fans but as a neutral most do not deliver great entertainment tbh. The most pointless is Palace V Brighton truely pointless...not a derby and is a grudge match cos of a row 40 odd years ago ... tossers should just get a ****ing grip
I'm just glad when the Merseyside or the Derby against Utd is over they are usually poor games and as a fan you just don't want to lose and don't really care if it's a good game or not.
Most people would have to Google what the NLD was and then who would be involved. Only London is interested in London.
Woking v Aldershot is supposed to be quite tasty. Haven’t experienced it yet. The big rivalry this season is Hampton & Richmond. They play home and away on Boxing Day and New Years Day. Used to be the same with Aldershot.
I’m gutted to have family bullshit to do on Boxing Day and thus missing the huge derby between Borehamwood and Barnet. It’s been a long time apparently. @Looney Leftie If I’m not in a state to go up to villa to watch qpr on New Year’s Day I’ll go to the return game.
That’s obviously not true. Don’t be bitter you never made it out of your weird little corner of the country.
Doesn't interest me that much and haven't really seen much interest from other Barnet fans. It's not the same as Enfailed derbies. Haven't decided on the boxing Day game yet and won't be going to the new years day game.
Yes ... historically very naughty ... added dynamic is that half of Port Talbot seems to support Cardiff whilst half are Jacks ...makes for a lively night out there after the derby (so one of my Uni mates told me) ... there is one story about how one ruck ended up with Cardiff fans having to swim for it when surrounded out into the bay ... there is a poster on the Swans board who has a forum name that reflects the event ... @ValleyGraduate12 - can you confirm?
The second leg of the Copa Libertadores final between Boca Juniors and River Plate has been moved more than 6,000 miles away to the Bernabeu in Madrid. The Buenos Aires derby was postponed last weekend, following an attack on the Boca team bus by River Plate fans. Boca players suffered cuts from the glass from broken windows and were also affected by the tear gas used by police to disperse the crowds. The match will now take place on Sunday, 9 December (19:30 GMT). The Copa Libertadores is the showpiece club competition in South America, equivalent to the Champions League in Europe. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46392340
