Reminds me of a true story a mate told me. He was working at a place, and one of the managers mentioned his disappointment at only seeing the one rare bird through his window. Mate asked him why he was disappointed, and he said it's because he was told that there was a pair of green falcons there.
Don't know why anyone is surprised in how poor Chris Martin has been. I mean, have you listened to Coldplay?
Another true story I was told. A guy had a business tackling flocks of birds bothering large installations by setting of explosions to scare them away. Turns out when scared they went to the next large installation...where coincidentally the pest control man also had a business setting explosions to scare them away.
I agree Jelavic was very good for us, and Windass too who could perhaps also be called a target man. But neither for very long (same a and it's been a problem position for years. We always seem to have loads of small forwards who can't play on their own up front and look like they'd fare better with a big hold up player alongside them.
There are peregrines all over this area ,if you know where to spot them .A pair have recently raised a brood not a quarter of a mile from the Kc as the crow ( peregrine ) flies. The local wildlife artist Robert Fuller has this year studied a pair raise a brood at saltend chemical works . One was perched on the south steeple of St Mary’s Beverley on Sunday afternoon this week. It’s a sad fact that people who know of a rare birds presence tend to keep it quiet ,due to brain dead idiots destroying nests and eggs along with the young birds in the mistaken idea that it will protect their precious racing pigeons.
