LJ not very happy and he has hit out about our defeat. I have ' Bullet Pointed' statements for simplicity.

    * The Yorkshire side were "lucky".
    * "They got away with it"
    * We were the side who looked like we were going on to win the game.
    * The referee took the easy decision in front of a big crowd.
    * The referee wants to run the show these days.
    * There were decisions that we didn't get.
    * I don't care about the refs because they do it to us every week.
    * We have had some poor refs the last few weeks.

    Not a 'Happy Chappie'..

Could that possibly be because he lost, or because he knows he has lost the plot and is walking the plank? When he stops complaining and gets back to the job he is supposed to do which is winning matches perhaps he may get more respect.

I must admit I’m beginning to lose patience with his ‘it’s not my fault’ routine after defeats. For the first time in his tenure I think he may have lost the plot. He’s trying to be too clever and new world with things, but when this fails I’m not seeing a plan B

On the subject of Plan B it appears we rarely have one on any front and when it has come down to hiring a new manager I almost get the impression that nobody has been approached prior to the sacking. If indeed Lee is on the way out I would expect the top brass to already be reviewing the potential candidates and be prepared to offer a sensible contract to take us forward, and yet I get the impression that we are slow to react when the need arises and even then I wouldn't expect to see anyone arrive that would shock the supporters.

I don’t expect Lee’s job to be under threat yet as we are not yet in the relegation zone, but even if or when we ARE looking, which inexperienced, cheap, ‘yes man’ out there would you have to replace Lee that would do any better?
Experienced and proven managers at this level need not apply.

    The debrief: Leeds United (A)
    Saturday, November 24th 2018

Lee Johnson assesses City's 2-0 loss to Leeds United at Elland Road.

Here's what he said in his post-match press conference:

    • The head coach said he was looking forward to facing Ipswich Town at Portman Road on Wednesday.
    • He said that while the result at Leeds United was the “most important thing” he was pleased that “individuals got their game back.”
    • Reflecting on Josh Brownhill’s red card, he said: “We’ve had four or five decisions go against us in the last four or five games but that’s how it goes.”
    • Jamie Paterson received praise for his work in the number 10 position, as did left-back Lloyd Kelly and Hakeeb Adelakun.
    • Josh Brownhill “will learn" from his first sending off.
    • Leeds are a good side “and we have got to respect them.”

Yeah I always like to back our managers but I'm close to having had enough I must admit. I just don't see anything changing under LJ.

I've said before, he will be a really good manager one day I'm sure. But he's not the finished article and if we're going to have genuine ambitions of promotion then we cannot afford to be his experiment.

That said, it feels overly harsh to sack him while we're only in 14th so I expect this to be drawn out a long while yet.

Gone are LJ's clever one liners that fool fans on here, and the board who just can't see what's happening.
LJ's adopting the old attitude of siege mentality.

It may well work against the bottom side Wednesday.
But long term, we'll just bump along till Lansdown gets it.
And it will be a while, he's bombproof.

Chance to be heroes again – Johnson
    Monday, November 26th 2018

Lee Johnson has called on his players to believe in their game as they go in search of the three points against Ipswich Town.

City travel to Portman Road for the midweek fixture (November 28th, 7.45pm KO), where last year they secured an historic victory - a first win on Ipswich's turf for 39 years.

Johnson says City must keep positive despite recent results, although he felt his squad played with belief and showed their ability on Saturday, as Leeds United held out for their 2-0 win..

“I think we go into the next game very positive, we have to be,” the City head coach said.

“We’re a fantastic football club playing in a fantastic division. We’re mid-table and can go up or down. At this point is it glass half full or glass half empty? Sometimes after a couple of losses, or four as it is at the moment, it can be very negative, but it is up to the players to show that belief in our system and ability to go into this game on Wednesday and execute [our game] extremely well.

“I do think we did that against Leeds up until the game-changing decision (Josh Brownhill’s sending off) and that is why I was positive after that game because we need to be, moving into this next big game, as they all are, against Ipswich.”

The midweek encounter with the Tractor Boys comes just three days after the trip to Elland Road, meaning there is little time to dwell on negativity. Instead, the focus is on moving forward quickly.

Johnson said: “The great thing about football is you are judged every three days. The fact we have Ipswich on Wednesday is a good thing and I believe we can be heroes again.”

He added: “The players should have picked up confidence from that Leeds game and we have got to work hard to execute in the moments we have created through bits of good play and that’s what we’ll be looking to do on Wednesday.”

Tickets remain on sale for Wednesday night’s Sky Bet Championship fixture.

I've have never heard so many cliche's in one hit, the guy has got a problem.

    * We’re a fantastic football club playing in a fantastic division.

I watched the 7 mins or so of highlights … not so hot video ing but Fammy looked like a lost sheep, by being back in the defensive half it allowed them to get forward.....I know we were 10 men but he doesn't seem to be the fastest on the pitch?
