What? That one wasn't even a wind up, fierce as **** between those two. Like I said the NLD derby is normally a good game but its not very fierce/tense. There's probably a link there too.
Tyne Wear Derby is def more passionate than NLD. United v Liverpool is the biggest game in the world by viewing figures. Shame the football barely lives up to the hype.
To be fair teams like Burnley and Blackburn aren't going to have the quality of players like Arsenal and Spurs have, so their derbies tend to be a bit more agricultural. Credit to the north london teams in that they actually come out and try and play some good football to win the game. But to say the rivalry isn't fierce is just plain wrong. If you ever go to a NLD you'd understand
Anyway, talking about rivalries. Anybody see the Boca Juniors v River Plate final that got called off because the River plate fans attacked the Boca team bus and injured several players ? Taking it waaay to far that. But their rivalry is one of the hottest in the world
Uk only? Galatasaray / fernerbache? Barca/real? Biggest one cause they are mental boca vs riveriver plate.
I was actually waiting to see who brought up Boca vs River and then who trumps them with Galatasaray vs Fenerbahce.
Watched a Galatasaray v Fenerbache game a few years ago where I thought the stand was going to catch on fire, there was so many firecrackers and fireworks, flags etc. ****ing mental scene.
