I dunno... he must have dreamed.it up over the international break to look positive based on spurs v Chelsea game or something. I would presume a 0-0 to palace at home wasn't part of his scheme. all its done is piled more pressure on.
As with the "Rafa's Rant" discussion, sometimes it's best just to keep your gob shut and get on with the job. The difference is that it was out of character with Benitez, whereas it's just the same old drivel with Mourinho.
Footballers are people and are all different - some respond to a kick up the arse, others need an arm round the shoulder. The art of man management is to tailor it to the needs of the individual, and I think it all needs to be done in private, not through the media. I just think Mourinho thinks it's all about him. It's great when things are going well, but when they're not he doesn't seem to know what to do beyond blaming everyone else.
I agree. what you've said is the reason why you do it in private with each person. a blanket we will be 4th on 6 games time promise then turning to players and saying... well? that just doesnt work.
Although English isn't the first language of either, you can clearly see the difference between Klopp and José in the way they talk. Klopp always says things along the lines of "we didn't do this" or "we didn't play well", whereas Mourinho tends to use "My players..." This shows how he disassociates himself from the performance of the team when they play poorly, and is what leads him to put the responsibility onto others.
in fairness the mancs have given ****head 2.5 years thus far... plus god knows how many millions. they even gave moyes 12 whole.months just to prove we were awful to Roy. they really have to one up us on everything.
