I don't think that's rattled. I think that's him knowing Klopps got the better of him in the past so playing a bit safer. Who as won more trophies? How many points behind were we last season? Rattled my arse!
If players were effected by it then we didn't deserve to win the league as they were weak! We had a great finish to the season so that simply wasn't the case.
That's your opinion. If someone's got that obsessed he is checking our results instantly, putting that in players heads.... he's carrying on about his poor bus, being petulant about us offering to pay for it, announcing it's in a different route and covered in cameras but the ultimate for me is the ta tidal mistakes he's made. They won 5-0 That should have been monkey off backs. They put an odd team out at Anfield last year and lost qf. This year he came very negative. He didn't change for Utd did he. So that's why I tnink pep is obsessed with liverpool.
https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/how-rafael-benitezs-rant-didnt-8628277 We win ten of our last eleven league games including the 4-1 win at Old Trafford (We also beat Real Madrid 4-1 too)
We took ten out of twenty one January and February. We went from 1st to 3rd. We then picked up and had a good finish. Everything comes from the gaffer down, if he ficks up the players feel it, performance suffers. Look at mourinho now, he's lost what credabilcre he has, moans like **** and has turned into a grade conspiracy nut. Result utd look shot. If and I again say it's a big if, pep has a woble, city will stutter. **** me Ferguson spent years winding up other managers knowing the negative effect it could have.
If that's all you can dispute then I must have a good point so. Of course fans check results. Managers should be looking to their own team and issues and leaving the results which are out of their control aside. What happens if they actually lose next game by some miracle then find we win. That'll be a great dressing room buzz right there
The reality is pep did have a major wobble due to the bus and his team wasn't right (preplanned of course) but the players were not on it at all and he didn't fix anything. He was still grumbling in second leg as well. Imo Liverpool 0- city 0 is the only tine I've ever seen a negative cautious pep.
Yup. We drew at Wigan then lost miserably to middlesboro. Injured torres and Gerrard..... the results after that were catch up and Utd were too far ahead
Didn't we get the highest ever points total not to win the league? (Up to that point) A total that would have won the majority of titles in previous PL seasons? All whilst H&G had started to effect the club? If you want to blame Rafa them point at the sale of Robbie Keane to score points in the transfer control saga!
It's a slim hope, but the one thing that is a plus in our favour. City have the bigger and better squad, more money and more pull. But I feel pep just can't get a handle on klopp, rattled is to strong at this point, but even a niggle is enough, just see him second guess himself, see a bit of doubt creep into the squad. In what looks to be a very close race, it may be all we need.
Within the season money and pull have no impact. Squad size does. City are rotating mahrez, sane and sterling. One us getting rest. Aguero and Jesus. Same happens in midfield. They are actually weakest in two areas. 1. David Silva is irreplaceable. (But bernardo Silva and de bruyne together is pretty cool as klopp would say as a good effort to replace if he gets i jyred) 2. Defence isn't all that.
Mate I remember the Wigan result, I remember thinking he'd ****ed it up. The next few weeks just confirmed it, the media just reported the results they didn't make the results. We where clear of utd by 7 points the start of Jan, Rafa thought he'd play some mind games and they back fired big time. By the end of Jan we where 2 point behind and never got to be top again. That's not the media, that is a solid gold **** up.
I don't know mate, being able to go out in jan andbuy who ever they want could be considered a big plus. On everything else I agree. However, I feel the underdog thing plays in our favour, klopp likes it and it's another thing that goes against pep, you've spent half a billion pound and we can still challenge. City need to blow everyone away to justify the outlay
