So, the elephant in the room, Henriksen and ........paternity leave. Never thought I'd be saying how much we missed Henriksen, but we have been on a good run, settled engine room, and the disruption today showed, although obviously it's not his fault we have no strength in depth in the squad, we know where that blame lays. I know it's the law, he's entitled to paternity leave, but it was his third child and not his first, as Captain, leading by example, in the position we are in, should he have made himself available today for us and opted out of paternity leave? As to whether it would have made any difference to the end result, I don't know, but would have given us a better chance. I appreciate coming from a woman....paternity leave, I'll get m'coat!!
He had an interview this week where he admitted that he will most likely be leaving in the summer. Good showing of commitment from the captain.
I thought Blackburn were better if I’m honest. But the yardstick isn’t great as they were both playing a dreadful City side.
JohnBo is right... Norwich will run riot here, unfortuantely. What I don't get is the 'a side looking low on confidence' bollocks spouted after today. 7 points from the previous 9 wasn't it!!!! I didn't go so can only rely on the reports on here and the media, either our squad of internationals were all knackered after their individual journeys or there previous 3 weeks were the highlight of our season.
Who was the player earlier this season who scored and then was substituted so he could get to the labour ward in his kit,...
Ability is one thing. Guts, determination, teamwork,****youwereHullCity and a never say die attitude should come with your season pass...yeh?
Fair enough. It's hard to be not biased by all the times he has been crap, usually when I'm there. If he plays as he was supposed to be able to then it would be like signing a new player.
Good move by Campbell getting himself booked and missing Norwich - 3 games in a week would be too much anyway and now he will definitely be available for Quoop and the Wall, who are both significantly more winnable
They had six shots on target, two of them goals .... they never looked like scoring apart from the two spawny ****ers they got. They were the better team, that's a FACT, they never looked like scoring though.
Burke has been impressive at right back recently and that exact back four has been our go-to for several games. They might have different 'correct' positions on your personal database but that's irrelevant because they've been playing well there in real life.
Personal database? I'm not a ****ing laptop. Burke's done alright, well is a bit generous and impressive suggests you are easily pleased. He was skinned numerous times today and against the previous teams. He's a great defender, but he isn't a RB. Lichaj I can sort of understand as he can play both sides relatively easily, but it's glaringly obvious that Burke is a centre half, you can tell by his end product.
We certainly struggled to get any passes together. Whether that was down to his absence is debatable but I'm sure Adkins would have liked to be able to play him. As for paternity leave, I completely support him having the right to it if he wants it. But it seems a bit strange that he'd want to take it. It's not like he'd be working 9-5 as a footballer, you'd imagine he could train and play and still spend 20 hours a day at home if he wants.
