KLOPP QUESTIONS EGYPT BOSS OVER SALAH Handbags at the ready? Not quite. Jurgen Klopp disagrees with the Egypt manager Javier Aguirre's claim Mohamed Salah should leave Liverpool, if the club fail to win silverware but says he is free to say whatever he likes. HENDO IS MAKING HIS COMEBACK Klopp has confirmed captain Jordan Henderson will be available for their weekend game against Watford - isn't that lovely? "He [Henderson] is ready to play," Klopp said. "In the moment it looks like we have pretty much a full squad. "The long term injuries of course and Adam Lallana has a minor thing that makes him not available for the weekend but all the rest came back healthy from the internationals." KLOPP: NEW MANE DEAL A BIG SIGNING Jurgen Klopp says Liverpool have made 'a statement' by agreeing a new long-term deal with Sadio Mane. And they sure have! AND WHAT IS THE UPDATE ON FABINHO? Fabinho signed for Liverpool in the summer from Monaco but hasn't quite made the biggest of impacts - yet. So how is he settling in now after spending some time in England? Klopp said: "He was always one for the future. He's settling, he played three of the last four, he did well. "Now is coming up to the most intense period of the year of the while season, it's unbelievable how many games we have. He used the time to adjust to what we want ghim to do and that's what's really good the last games he played. "Of course he will not leave. That would be completely crazy. he doesn't want [to leave]." 'IF HE DOESN'T WIN A TITLE THEN HE HAS TO MOVE ON' Egypt manager Jaiver Aguirre said Mohamed Salah should leave Liverpool in a couple of years if they don't win any trophies. "I would say if he [Aguirre] doesn't win in a couple of years if they don't win any trophies in the next two years a title then he has to move to another club or country," Klopp said in response. "I don't know why people say things like that. it's not that important to be honest. Obviously, I don't agree with that but it's a free world and he can say whatever he wants." please log in to view this image KLOPP: WE'VE MADE A STATEMENT WITH MANE Sadio Mane agreed a new deal which will keep him at Liverpool until 2023. Here is what Jurgen had to say: "I’m really pleased, really happy about the fact that he’s signed this contract. "It’s a big signing, if a player is in a very good moment in his career and you can extend the contract that’s more than the signing, that’s a statement. It shows a bit of the change the club did in the last few years. "I think a few years ago it constantly happened that players in a very good moment thought they had to leave the club to make the next step and obviously now our boys think the next step they can make here and that’s good."
Press Conference Key Points Did you miss Jurgen Klopp’s press conference? Never fear, I’ve got your back. Here’s the key points from the boss. Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita are available to face Watford but Adam Lallana is injured. Fabinho is going nowhere as Klopp admits he will feature during busy festive period. The manager will talk with Dominic Solanke over his Reds future after impressing for England U21s this week. And, finally, Klopp says Xherdan Shaqiri will feature in bigger games despite being used in cameos against the so-called big six this term.
Watford press him from the front this season and have won the ball back up the field a lot. If if we can pass through that it should open the game up for us and create a lot of space. Need Gomez and vvd at the back today to get their passing spot on.
I would say that on every single occasion we have been pressed high we have been poor. the midfield just don't offer options for the cos to pass to. I've lost count of the times we try to play out and go further and further back til alisson has to boot it. We need cms to actually move 5 yards and be an option. look at city game for example. Henderson spent most of his game hiding behind David Silva. all Silva did was move one or 2 yards either way to cover any half hearted effort to move by Henderson. on one occasion I actually watched Henderson run in behind Silva. anyway... I just don't think we can play through
Our passing has been poor this season and our press doesn't exist anymore. Really wish we were a bit more like last season
I agree overall. that's where we are just off. I'm not sure if the forwards are really off at all or if they are not getting same service
Or is it because the opposition have done their homework? We were very bloody good at pressing last season, maybe sides are letting us have the ball instead?
Our midfield has been poor for a while. It’s just been masked by a brilliant attack, and overshadowed by a **** defence.
We have won most games frankly. where did we do badly? red star away? city at home? we were fairly poor in a couple of narrow wins imo. This is all relative. 1. are we passing well? no 2. are we giving each other options? no 3. are we pressing when we don't have ball no cos we don't have enough players up there doing it. so when we have the ball we have issues.. and when we don't we have too.

I would happily be proven wrong with a good performance today, but I believe we will inevitably be flat and struggle to string passes together thus not create lots of chances against a decent team.
